Wow! What an amazing and fascinating epic tale you created here! Probably worth putting the lyrics on the page as there is lot to take in. Really great job to all involved, sounds like the studio guys were probably into rap and EDM and didn't care too much about your music, a shame. Try a different studio next time. :)

1. An Air of Mystery

Song Matt wrote the lyrics for and everyone else contributed music for. It's a sci-fi prog song chronicling an alternate time where Steel is sentient and has been controlling the minds of men throughout time.

Some disclaimers 
The mixers screwed up the drums in one of the choruses (they sounded fine in the pre-mix), we didn't have time to record any transitions between verses and Matt had to do the entire vocals in one take so there are some timing issues there. Any errors other than those were because they made us record the song in its entirety 4 times rather than in sections as we'd wanted to, so some of the sections are a bit sloppy, but oh well. Excuses excuses

Well, this is the Soundcloud account for my old and now defunct band; Same But Different. We were 4 students in 2nd year at Nottingham Uni, trying to make some music and have some fun. We were involved with the Uni's Band Society and played their gigs and open mike nights. This was mostly used to upload songs recorded unbelievably badly on my iPod. They were usually our own written songs (lyrics by me (unless otherwise stated), music by everyone) ether acoustic or electric. Hope anyone that stumbles upon this enjoys our stuff.
