A life-long listener of slow motion vibes, from the early electronica of Jean Michel Jarre and Art of Noise, through the chill out rooms of the early raves, KLF, Aphex Twin and The Orb, on to the late 90s and 00s laid-back funk, beats and chill-out of Pork Recordings, Air, Bent, Royksopp, and the Big Chill festivals, up to the modern day chug and cosmic disco pioneered by the late, great, Andrew Weatherall and ALFOS. 
@rev-d started this mix for us over a year ago, but unhappy with it, shelved it while concentrating on some faster mixes of house, nu disco and techno. Came back to it again early this year and re-constructed it, adding in some newer tunes. Enjoy!

Hell Yeah look to Berlin DJ and producer Gallo for a new EP filled with escapist sounds that bring sunshine into your life.

Gallo is a Balearic Gabba Sound System member and resident at Berlin balearic nightspot Buena Onda. He last appeared on the label in 2020 with his Small Things EP and this time out he once again mixes up new age ambiance with blissed out balearic.

First track 'Abysso' is a real standout with airy and celestial chords bringing grandeur and scale to the gently tumbling downtempo beats. They are truly heart aching and have you gazing up in awe. 'Saver' is another lush slow jam that has the 80s echoing through the innocent chords while soothing drum tumbles gently get you swaying. Last of all, 'Communication' casts adrift and has you gloating on a glistening ocean with vast expanses of lush and harmonic chords extending out above you in a clear blue sky.

These are three exquisite and timeless cuts of dreamy downtempo for grown up dances.
