SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN INSPIRED BY STRONG RHYTHMIC LYRICS SUCH AS RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE OR NAHKO BEAR & MEDICINE FOR THE PEOPLE, AND DIDACTIC MELODIES FROM BANDS LIKE THE BEATLES, PINK FLOYD, AND IRON & WINE. SHE HAS PLAYED NUMEROUS VENUES, MOST RECENTLY AT ORANGE BLOSSOM JAMBOREE #9, AND SANG WITH ESTE LOVE'S CHURCH OF LOVE AT HOMETEAM NEW YEARS RALLY #5 AND AT THE GREAT OUTDOORS JAM #3. RECENTLY SHE HAS BEEN BUSY RECORDING TRACKS FOR HER FIRST ALBUM, ABSOULUTE, EXPECTED TO RELEASE 2019, AS WELL AS WRITING NEW MUSIC.

Sherry Pruitt… born in Beaumont Texas in 1956, into a devoutly religious family that includes ministers and gospel musicians, blues diva Sherry Pruitt made her musical debut in church at age six, with a solo rendition of ''His Eyes Are on the Sparrow.'' Revealing an abundance of raw musical talent early on, her ability to sing gospel music translated handily to singing the blues as well as popular music and she soon began appearing around town in local night clubs and lounges. Eager to improve at her craft and not satisfied to rely solely on her considerable natural ability, Sherry took up vocal training with three of the best coaches in the business, Ronnie Hasley, Bill Collier and Deni Clark who helped her develop the polish and professionalism that is so evident in her performances today. Sherry's musical odyssey has taken her all over the world, even as far away as Japan, South Africa, Europe, Tahiti, and Oman.  Sherry has SOUL; character, personality, passion, emotional feelings of warmth that enter deep into your heart. Her voice vibrates soulful tones and her contralto range touches your spirit with amazement.
