Above & Beyond and long-time collaborator Justine Suissa share their first joint effort in over four years, ‘Almost Home’. 

‘Almost Home’ is Above & Beyond’s first club track of 2021, arriving just in time for their Group Therapy 450 milestone show at The Drumsheds in London this September. ABGT450 is their first headline show in over a year, and will see the trio perform to an audience of more than 10,000 fans. Later in September, Above & Beyond embark on the Anjunafamily Reunion Tour, which visits major cities across the U.S.A. including sold-out stops at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Stanford’s Frost Amphitheater and the world-famous Echostage in D.C. 

Jono, Tony, Paavo and Justine have been working together since 2000 when they formed the group OceanLab. In 2008, they released their first and only album ‘Sirens Of The Sea’,a record that has gained near-mythical status among trance fans. More recently, Above & Beyond and Justine have collaborated on club hits like ‘Alright Now’, ‘Cold Feet’ and ‘Another Chance’, and emotive, downtempo records like ‘Little Something’. 

In 2016, Justine joined Above & Beyond during their sell-out ‘Acoustic II’ tour, which stopped at iconic venues including Royal Albert Hall in London and The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. 

“This is a track that we originally wrote with Justine some years ago. Like many musicians during lockdown, we buried ourselves in the studio and had plenty of time to pick through old ideas. ‘Almost Home’, with its ’80s production influences, caught our ear. We sent it across to Justine again, and she rewrote the second verse to reflect her feelings on it today - we won’t tell you what it’s about though, we’ll leave that for you to decide. This track started in quite a different form, so we’ve also done a Club Mix to bring it a bit more up-to-date. It’s quite emotional to think that we’ll be able to play this one live for you all very soon. Take care for now!” - Above & Beyond

Above & Beyond deliver their first original instrumental track of 2021 with ‘Screwdriver’. Jono, Tony, and Paavo flip the script on their established club sound with this fan-favorite ID from the trio’s sold-out Group Therapy 450 festival in London last September.

Blissful and energetic, ‘Screwdriver’ is a tour through trance build-ups, acid, breakbeat, and 90s-flavored piano house. 

‘Screwdriver’ comes off the back of the announcement that Above & Beyond will partner with Cercle to present a special, intimate Livestream set on top of Piedra del Peñol in Guatape, Colombia.

The trio close out their 2021 tour schedule, which included sold-out shows at The Drumsheds, London, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre, with a date at Brooklyn’s Avant Gardner on December 28. You can also catch the boys at Big Night Live, Boston and Lights All Night Festival, Dallas this festive season. Final release tickets are available now.

Mario Egeto, aka Myon, has been in our orbit for many years. A new year bodes well for new beginnings. Always one to keep a sharp eye on the current state of the scene, Roman Messer launches a new sublabel of Suanda Music, Suanda Future, dedicated to all things tech progressive and future rave.

And what better way there is to kick off the label and showcase its direction than to lead by example. 'Mystery Land' is Roman's very own new single, with its sound harkening back to the groovy and atmospheric melodic tech trance of some 10 years ago but with a decidedly 2022 spin to it. The aptly chosen cover art, with its hints of cyberpunk, reveals the underlying theme for the label and reflects the electrified sound of Roman's brand new record.

With its tempo locked at 126 BPM, 'Mystery Land' is a notch slower and calmer than some might expect from Roman, but it's no less infectious than his other work. With emphasis on soundscapes, swirling textures and soft atmosphere, the track is built around the defined sense of relentless progression throughout, powered by the groovy fat bassline and punchy drums that carry it forward. A perfect choice for gently - but firmly - ramping up the energy in the earlier parts of a DJ set, 'Mystery Land' is sure to be a standout record of the mix.

As a prominent figure in the trance and progressive music scene, German music producer and DJ Dennis Sheperd has made a name for himself through exceptional talent, innovation, and dedication. Now based in Sofia, Bulgaria, Dennis consistently pushes the boundaries of the genre with inventive concepts and captivating tunes.

With four albums under his belt and over 50 million streams on Spotify, Dennis's career took off in 2007 with the release of "A Tribute to Life," an original track that embodied his positive philosophy.
