1992
Сделал продакшн для первого трека в стиле Garage - This Is The Groove. Рэп-куплеты со строчками “Smooth Garage sound of London Town” и “T-Jam’s moving on the Garage tip” читал житель Лондона - Luke Mills, который в то время учился в Санкт-Петербургском Университете. Трек вышел на кассетном релизе Ти-Джем - Рапиристы в 1992 году.

1997-1998
Стал программным директором Радио Рекорд, которое перешло в танцевальный формат с осени 1997. Включал в ежедневную ротацию “Рекорда” ранние Speed Garage и 2-Step треки.

Как и многие питерские ди-джеи, ездил за виниловыми пластинками в Финляндию. Играл гаражно-2-стэповые сэты в клубе Грибоедов, позднее в клубах Мама и Пар, на рэйвах Восточный Удар. В 2000-м году журнал Птюч написал: “Микс Тенгиза был ЛУЧШИМ на этом Восточном Ударе!"

В 1998 году сделал 2-Step бутлег на группу Блестящие, который вышел на компиляции Восточный Удар: Война и Мир в 2001.

1999
Переехал в Москву, для работы с проектами Bad B Альянс, Децл и другими в качестве звукорежиссёра и музыкального продюсера, на студию Миксмедиа в Останкино. В 1999 году сделал 2-Step ремикс на песню Децл - Слёзы, который был выпущен компанией Pepsi на компиляции “Pepsi-Хит” в 2000 году. 

2000
Сделал 2-Step ремиксы для Мурата Насырова - на песню “Девственница” и для Шеффа и Лигалайза - на трек “Joseffina”. Ремиксы вышли на сборнике “R’n’B Для Любви-2”. “Девственница” также вышла на альбоме Мурата Насырова “Разбуди меня”.

2002
Сделал 2-Step продакшн для Sexy Лия, участницы группы “Белый Шоколад”. Песня “Москва” была выпущена на компиляции Step2step в 2003.

2004 
Открыл фанки-хип-хоп лейбл и магазин “Фанк-Петербург” и отошёл от Garage и 2-Step жанра.

Amsterdam based molecular biologist, producer and rising talent Teqmun debuts on Flippen Bits with five bits of his warm and uncannily organic sound. 

Organic Oscillations EP is a fresh blend of melancholic IDM, dreamy vocal chops, punchy rhythms and playful break-beat techno. The perfect representation of Teqmun’s approach to music: Energetic, highly emotional and musically wide-open, willing to take inspiration from all realms of contemporary music.
To complete the pack Pariah joins the party and delivers an excellent wobbling roller remix.

The nature inspired track titles of the EP establish a connection between the tracks and the organic world. 
The term - oscillations - refers to the rhythmic, wave-like patterns found in various biological processes such as the beating of a heart or the swaying of plants in the wind. Organic Oscillations suggests that the music captures the essence of these natural patterns, creating a sonic experience that resonates with the organic world.

While Aphid Walk refers to the infrastructural challenges and solutions of the insect world, Parachute Kernel is a seed that has developed a specific structure that allows for it to be carried by the wind. Balsa parallels the sounds of the track with the features of a kind of wood that goes by the same name: it’s one of the lightest woods we know yet incredibly solid. Blossom reminisces the different stages of a flower while developing (just like the track) and And Nettle Dweller, well, you have to be really brave to want to live on stinging nettles, rather appropriate to the stingy track that it is.

FLIPPEN BITS 004 Teqmun - Organic Oscillations EP SNIPPETS

Born in Northeastern Mexico and influenced by her Palestinian heritage, Loris grew up listening to classical Arabic music without understanding the language. This exposure to Arabic music influenced her to later mix fragments of Arabic and Latin culture using electronic music. With her productions, Loris unites the multiplicities of her cultural identity.

A part of the electronic party scene in Mexico City, she has shared her sound at numerous local club nights, including national and international events. She also curates a series of parties called Zoco, which brings new sounds of the diaspora from the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

Turin-based imprint Early Reflex, helmed by DJ and Producer Alec Pace, proudly announces the release of "Flex005" to commemorate its fourth anniversary. The milestone series continues Early Reflex's mission to propel leftfield techno and experimental club music into uncharted territory, showcasing both established icons and rising talents from around the globe.
Since its inception, Early Reflex has been a beacon of innovation in the electronic music scene, consistently pushing boundaries and challenging conventions. "Flex005" is no exception, offering an immersive journey through 12 tracks that redefine the sonic landscape.

"We're thrilled to celebrate our fourth anniversary with the release of 'Flex005,'" says Alec Pace, founder of Early Reflex. "This compilation embodies the spirit of exploration and experimentation that has defined our label since day one. It's a testament to the incredible talent and diversity within the electronic music community.”

The tracks featured on Flex005 span a wide range of styles and influences, each offering a unique perspective on the intersection of techno and experimental soundscapes.This highly anticipated release features a diverse array of tracks from both established icons and emerging talents, each offering a unique perspective on the intersection of electronic music and artistic innovation.

Kicking off the journey is "Fingernail" from label head Alec Pace, a junglesque fusion of intricate rhythms and atmospheric textures that sets the stage for the immersive sonic experience. Next up is "Pressure" by Sha Ru, the New York-via-Berlin duo known for their deft fusion of spoken word and bass-heavy electronics, their contribution is a sonic voyage is a gritty, bass-heavy track that fuses elements of industrial techno with hypnotic melodies.
Circular Square's track "D-Ta32" invites listeners on an immersive journey into a digital realm, blending complex rhythms and big bass with an IDM vibe, while No Sir's "Surface Gage" sophisticatedly weaves highly textured, spacious layers of sound, punctuated by percussive elements and bursts of noise, creating dynamic planes of ambiance.
Capiuz's "Slide Up" offers a high-energy sonic journey driven by metallic riffs crafted through FM synthesis, juxtaposed with jersey-club kicks and high-impact percussions, resulting in a captivating blend of catchy yet melody-deprived lead elements.
Small Crab's contribution "Crab Claws" presents a dynamic exploration of metallic and textured drums, seamlessly blending sound and texture to create a harmonious fusion that captivates the listener's senses, while ZULI's "A Birdie" offers a masterful exploration of abstract soundscapes and drums exercise with a lighthearted touch, reflecting the Berlin-based Egyptian artist’s eclectic approach to music production.
Seta Loto's "SiO2" delivers a dream-like auditory journey through pulsating synths and hypnotic rhythms, while Young Muscle in "Better Off" weaves together the influences of breakbeat and bass music with elements of techno, funky house, and dubstep.
London-based producer's "Slimy Fingers" offers an eclectic fusion of dubstep's signature digital bass with elements borrowed from diverse genres, while "Asemia" by British producer and sound artist Ziyiz takes listeners on a captivating sonic journey that melds futuristic club music with esoteric sound design. Closing out the compilation is "Buccia di RospoShimmer” by Italian duo Ninja Exotic Machine, a captivating journey through the wildness of deformed selva, narrating the tale of a quirky JunglistRospo evading danger amidst shimmering riddims and mystical wizard light.

HUNY XO (she/they) is a DJ, event curator, and king of all trades soundtracking and producing events via the Mostbeautifullest collective. Bred in New York, NY and currently residing in Pittsburgh (named Person of the Year in Music 2021 by Pittsburgh City Paper), huny's work in music and the visual arts is rooted in exalting Black women & QTBIPOC communities. As the founder of Mostbeautifullest, dubbed "the collective altering Pittsburgh's nightlife scene for the better," a co-founder and the Experience Lead of the Queer Fam Fund, as well as consulting on diversity outreach and curating lineups for both national and international festivals and events, her mission to expand visibility and access in nightlife is a through-line in everything she touches.

WHAT DOES LIBERATION MEAN TO YOU?
At this point: a spaceship. I can't think about liberation and what it looks like without also realizing it's at the whim of those in power. It's forever tied to waiting/hoping/fighting/demanding. I want escape from this entire plane of existence for all marginalized people.

Byron Nash is a Pgh-based musician well-known for his dynamic guitar playing. He is the band leader of the Funk-Rock-N-Soul group NASH.V.ILL— who have made a name for themselves with their explosive live performances.

Raised on a healthy diet of his Mom’s diverse vinyl collection, Nash’s style naturally ranges from energetic rock and metal riffs, emotive soul-drenched vibes, singer -songwriter honesty to searing solos covered with the dirt and grit of back alley blues.
