German brother and sister duo Hundreds released their second album 'Aftermath' back in May via Berlin imprint Sinnbus and the melancholia-drenched long player had listeners transfixed around the world.

On Eva and Philip Milner's sophomore album, delicate melodies are intertwined with heartfelt vocals and hauntingly delicate productions and the album will soon receive its first remix EP.

There's an edit from German electronic outfit The/Das and also from the Pampa and Kompakt stalwart Robag Wruhme and the latter has cast his spell over the album's title track.

However, ’Love Siren’ will battle it out for the most attention from punters, packed with all the power and punch required to knock over festival crowds as it systematically builds and drops this is one for the big open air stages. ‘Rumours’ wraps things up in slightly more understated but non-the-less effective fashion with its drawn out, tension building intro mushrooming into a crescendo of sleazy chords and sparking melodies.

Italy’s fastest rising name in house and techno returns to the respected Drumcode imprint with this blistering new 4-track EP, ‘Climax’. Featuring a distinctive vocal sample crescending over a typically thumping bassline, opening lead track ‘Climax’ grows gradually with the introduction of a single synth note and skipping hi-hats. Two beatless breakdowns increase the pressure whilst a new synth melody is introduced in the second, making for a powerful ending as all the elements join together.

‘Boost’ starts out deep and dark, with a high-pitched call echoing over a determined beat. The track changes course mid-way through with the introduction of a bassy, low-pitched synth melody, helping ‘Boost’ evolve into a catchier, more playful track.

‘Spectre’, a no-nonsense closing piece featuring a jittering synth note, rattling hi-hats and a trademark tension-filled breakdown.

‘Over The Clouds’, as its name would suggest, is the gentlest of the four tracks. Filled with dusty textures over a rumbling bassline, twinkling synths move in waves before lower-pitched chords join, adding a real sense of depth to this production.

Overall, ‘Climax’ is an outstanding example of Faraone’s ear for detail as a producer: his experience as both a resident and touring DJ clearly feeds into his skill for manipulating tension in his productions like he does on the dancefloors. Darius Syrossian & Doorly - Gravity Check (Jacky Remix)

Up first is Get Enough, seven minutes of seductive techno that has an almost machine-gun like disco synth firing across the groove. It is a rumbling peak time track with real force and energy that will bring any floor to life. The title track, Toleranz, is a gritty and stripped back basement cut with dry hits and burrowing acid bass that takes you deep into the night. Cobra then proves this pair have real breadth in the studio and is a barrel chested house cut with more big hits, rib rattling bass and incendiary techno hi hats that really get you on your toes. Remixing are the tech duo of Pleasurekraft, whose releases on Octopus and Mood Records have won them plenty of DJ and dancing fans. They layer in some dark melodies to SQ80 and build it steadily before allowing the militant drums and crisp snares to explode and drive you and the whole club forwards.

London based DJ and producer Mark Broom makes his next appearance on Posthuman’s Balkan Vinyl imprint by supplying a driving and hypnotic acid cut to the ‘Mutant City Acid Vol. 4’ compilation.

With decades of experience releasing on labels like Saved, 20:20 Vision, Material Series and Edit Select Records, Mark Broom’s catalogue is well stacked with diverse material. That said, his brand of acid stands out in the industry and is in high demand, which makes the latest track on Balkan Vinyl that much more satisfying.

‘Connection’ showcases a droning motif with humming atmospherics at the core of steady acid tones and booming bass. The track builds into piercing tension before a deep release making for a captivating dancefloor bomb.

‘Mutant City Acid Vol. 4’ is set fro release end of July and also includes tracks by Drvg Cvltvre, Nehuen and Han Do Jin (aka Warlock).

Cooked up with a more melodic vibe and fusing elements of house and techno, Dense & Pika’s latest outing on Drumcode offers something different compared to their previous work. There is still that vintage feel to each of the tracks with analogue sounds and arrangements born and developed from experimental studio jams. Indeed, ‘Suki’ heavily utilizes the distinct harmonic tones of the Dave Smith Prophet 8 keyboard. While ‘Little Sun’ - A staple of D&P performances over the last three months - delivers a more classic Drumcode sound. ‘Lanky’ closes out the release with an infectious slab of wonderfully wonked-out raw funk.
