Performing for over 20 years, BillyO created a following in his early days by distributing his mixes, and performing at underground events.  In the early 00’s he joined True Family Unit Recordings, performing at and hosting raves, undergrounds and Club nights throughout Chicagoland.  House music has always been his main focal point.  His sets are a mix of slapping hard knocks, disco edits, acid basslines, and deep introspective vocals.  Some of his favorite mixes can be found on his Soundcloud account.  BillyO has been busy over the past few years.  His mix Perseverance was featured on a new Housepit Chi mix tape series.  He’s been organizing and hosting events for True Family Unit recordings, with a focus of increasing the number of releases on the record label.  He joined the Northern Lights Crew as a trusted advisor and is an active artist on the roster.

DJ COOLEY MACK studied “sound engineering” at Columbia College (Chicago) and was mentored by his teacher Malcolm Chisholm of the legendary Chess Records and Record Row fame. After a brief encounter with DJ Wayne Williams, he initiated an internship for himself at Jive Records. While interning, he had the pleasure of interacting with Chicago’s finest House Music producers, like Hula & K. Fingers, Mr. Lee, Cajmere, Lidell Townsell, Maurice Joshua and others. 


MACK, since high school, has been deeply engaged in grassroots community empowerment as a youth mentor, case manager and many other roles, serving Chicago, Los Angeles, Compton, Long Beach, St. Paul, Minneapolis, Des Moines, Miami, and other nearby cities.


DJ MACKBOOGALOO was blessed to have encounters with indigenous traditional elders (medicine people) in 2013, which led him on a path to assist their inter-tribal unity efforts. He became greatly inspired by the spiritual teachings of Mad Bear Anderson (Iroquois) & Rolling Thunder (Cherokee), along with Ted Silverhand (Iroquois), leading him to co-author & author books on their legacy.
