guese Cisco discovered Acid House in the London clubs he frequented, his journey has been about making his mark on the electronic music scene. Or, as he recently put it himself: “I’ve been doing this for quite a few years and I’m not going anywhere.” This sums it up pretty well; you won’t see Ferreira naked, shooting promo videos carrying a dog, or hear him publically worrying about the sincerity of the average EDM jockey. He’s everything about techno you’ve learned to love, without the circus you’ve learned to accept. Fresh out of college, Cisco’s hunger for sound landed him a job as assistant sound-engineer in several recording studios. There he learned about the art of translating feelings to frequencies, while at the same time recording various high prole artists from the world of Rock, Pop, Dance, and Reggae. When acid label ‘Jack Trax’ moved in next-door, Cisco started recording for the likes of Adonis, Fingers Inc, Marshall Jeerson, and Derrick May. These rendezvous sparked the inspiration for his rst EPs on R&S and Fragile. In 1994 Ferreira signed a record deal for 12 EPs and 3 albums together with Colin McBean. This was the beginning of an era during which the duo set a worldwide standard for high quality underground Electro and Techno. They hit the world with a refreshing sound, both as The Advent, and ‘G Flame (Cisco) and Mr G’, the alias Colin is still using. Nowadays The Advent is a solo project, bombarding crowds around the world with its trademark raw, energetic sound.

Cisco was originally meant to play for us in August 2021 but Covid put a stop to that; thankfully we were able to fulfil our goal of having him to play for us and it couldn't have gone any better in our honest opinion.

Despite the high level of production quality in her work, Irish-born Kerrie is a relative newcomer. Nowadays her calendar’s filling up with gigs from Medellín to her adoptive city of Manchester, but for a long time she honed her skills on the other side of the decks and at the latter’s Eastern Bloc. These formative years have now blossomed into a fully fledged career as head of her own Dark Machine Funk label and as published artist under Don’t Be Afraid and I Love Acid to name a few. Her trademark is hulking, angular cuts and grainy, analog textures of the Blueprint stripe, a label which has fittingly taken her under its wing with her Raw Regimen EP just released in March. Bassiani Podcast 127 is a serpentine, kick-heavy studio mix by the new and exciting talent.

We are delighted to feature Belfast native Nez to our Mixtape series. Anyone who is into the Irish techno scene knows that Nez needs no introduction.

Nez is an obsessive vinyl collector, DJ and lover of all genres of electronic music specializing in techno, electro, acid and jungle. He started djing around the Belfast scene in 1998 and earned himself his first resident DJ spot at the Evolution nights in the legendary Vico’s Club.  Since then he has co-promoted De-Vice in Leeds, Grub with Boxctutter, Pressure, Scope, Beat BBQ and held down a residency DSNT for 10 years and is a regular performer for AVA Festival, played all the major clubs up and down Ireland and has djed all over Europe sharing the stage warming up for a who's who of electronic music, too many names to mention.  
The highlights of his career so far was playing a set for the infamous AVA Boiler Room and a closing set in Tresor Berlin.  Currently he is co promoter of a new night Coda  and is label boss Computer Controlled.

We are proud to announce the next edition of our DECENNIUM series, which comes courtesy of one of the most highly esteemed and influential Techno and Electro legends of our time; none other than our good friend and returning guest, Cisco Ferreira aka The Advent (Kombination Research, MORD).

Cisco has been at the forefront of the scene since the early 90's. Fresh out of college, Cisco’s hunger for sound landed him a job as assistant sound-engineer in several recording studios. When acid label ‘Jack Trax’ moved in next-door, Cisco started recording for the likes of Adonis, Fingers Inc, Marshall Jefferson, and Derrick May. These rendezvous sparked the inspiration for his first EPs on R&S and Fragile.

In 1994 Cisco signed a record deal for 12 EPs and 3 albums together with Colin McBean. This was the beginning of an era during which the duo set a worldwide standard for high quality underground Electro and Techno. They hit the world with a refreshing sound, both as The Advent, and ‘G Flame (Cisco) and Mr G’, the alias Colin is still using. Nowadays The Advent is a solo project, bombarding crowds around the world with it's trademark raw, energetic sound. A sound that grants him yearly slots at festivals as Nature One, Awakenings and Bonusz, as well as regular shows in clubs such as Berghain and Tresor. The list of releases is huge and ever-growing through some of the most heavyweight labels around, as well as via his own imprint Kombination Research.

After being huge fans of The Advent for many years, in 2019 we were finally able to relish the opportunity to book him to play a live set as part of our collaboration event with CPU Records at FOLD, amongst a lineup that included E.R.P. aka Convextion, Plant43, 96 Back, CPSmith and our residents Annie Hall, Kodah and Osc Kins. His set went down as one of the best live sets we have ever had the pleasure of witnessing and we were proud that this was produced at one of our events and heard by a packed venue on one of best club sound systems in the UK. Cisco has since returned to the Natural Selection front line last year at our 10-year milestone live stream at FOLD, where he was joined by The Fear Ratio (SKAM), 96 Back, Tasha b2b Voicedrone and more.

We feel Cisco has played a big part for Natural Selection over the last couple of years and we are eternally grateful for his support and enthusiasm for what we do. We are ecstatic to have such a titan on our DECENNIUM series with this exclusive set, as lethal as it gets.
