Dede Lopez has a successful career as a singer/songwriter/producer/Dj with more than 500 000 albums sold. She has toured the world and has sold out Tokyo Dome in Japan twice! She was the only Swedish artist to open up for Michael Jackson in Gothenburg, Sweden and was opening act to 50 Cent in Helsinki, Finland.

Denise has worked with prominent producers and song writers such as Max Martin, Andreas Carlsson, Per Magnusson, David Kreuger, Anders Bagge, Derek Bramble (David Bowie & Whitney Houston), Hebie Crichlow, Father Mc, Pras Michel (Fugees) and Michael Feiner among others.

Denise started her carrier as a dancer & backup singer and toured around the world between 1989-1994 with Dr.Alban, Melodie MC and the famous dance group Culture Beat (Mr. Vain). During her last year with Culture Beat she signed her first record deal and recorded the album TBA (Totally Bombastic Anecdotes) with Sony Music Sweden under her nick- name DeDe. Her second single (Party) opened up the market in Japan and her first album TBA went gold within a month. As an artist Denise Lopez was contracted to Sony BMG for five years (1994 – 1999). In 1997 Denise was the only Swedish support act for Michael Jackson down in Ullevi Gothenburg. In 1999 she went to Japan to do her show in the Tokyo Dome for two consecutive days, 100,000 people were watching those shows.

The end of 99 brought a new challenge for Denise, she started of her own label and by July of 2002 she released her fourth album in Japan (through Epic) under the title ”Like a Queen”. 2003 saw the release of three singles as well as her first DVD collection. In august of 2007 she teamed up with Grammy-winning recording artist Pras Michel (The Fugees) and released ”Turn you on”, layered with her sassy vocals and Pras Michel’s signature fluid rap style. Turn you on is written and produced by Pras Michel. After nine weeks on the Swedish single chart, ”Turn you on” went No.2

In december of 2007 Denise went to China for the first time, she did two shows at the biggest clubs in Beijing, Club Mix and Club Cargo. In november 2008 Denise did a tour together with Pras Michel in Estonia, Letvia, Finland, Denmark and Sweden. In december 2008 she wrapped up her first live-band tour in China, a great success. In april of 2009 she went back to China for promotion in Shanghai. Her fourth album ”Slave To The Sound” was released in China may 2010 under the title ”Denise Lopez”. Her fifth album ”Black Lace & Leather” was released 2010.

During 2016 she released the EP ”Female Revolution” and her latest single ”Dare To Chang The World” feat hiphop queen Mc Lyte went #5 on UStop20 (2018). The song was written and produced by Denise Lopez.

2019 – she teamed up Grammy-winning recording artist Pras Michel (The Fugees) and released ”Turn you on” with a new remix by Dj Screamshot, layered with her sassy vocals and Pras Michel’s signature fluid rap style. Turn you on is written and produced by Pras Michel.

2024 promises to be a banner year for both Jacnique (pronounced zha-neek) and her fans/friends. This year Jacnique Nina will be inducted into The Akademia Music Awards Hall Of Fame on May 18th in Los Angeles, California. Jacnique also recently won the Las Vegas and Los Angeles Black Music Awards 2023 People's Choice Award. Jacnique was also nominated for The Black Music Awards (Las Vegas) in the categories of Best Female Jazz Artist, Best Vocalist, Best Live Performer and
Entertainer of The Year. In addition, Jacnique has just received an Akademia Music Award in the category of R&B/Soul for her luscious, Smooth R&B single entitled, “Thank You (For The Way You Love Me)”, released on March 2nd of 2023. Jacnique also recently received an Akademia Music Award in the category of Rock for her scintillating single entitled, “Bad Habit”, released on February 7th of 2023. She also
won the Akademia Music Award for Best R&B/Soul song for her retro R&B/Pop single “This Is The Life” featuring Ricardo Love and Phat Ca$h. Jacnique wrote all of the lyrics to these three singles, as is her custom. The music was written by her longtime writing partner & extraordinary music producer and recording artist, Ricardo Love. Jacnique Nina is planning to release many more new singles and albums, including
duets with Howard Hewett and Temptations tenor, Ron Tyson , on her new record label and film company, Love Jacnique Nina Music And Film Media.

On February 14th of 2021, during the pandemic, Jacnique released the 25-song anthology/mixtape Audio Portrait of Love , overflowing with highlights from her previous albums, singles and EPs. This collection represents Jacnique’s personal favorite songs from her catalog culled from her debut album Trial by Fire (produced by Ricardo Love), the Rise in Love EP, her second album Eternal Love, and her third album, Wish of The Heart, (the widely acclaimed music project that began her
collaborations with Preston Glass, leading to airplay around the globe including Sirius/XM’s Watercolors channel and also making the coveted Allen Kepler “Smooth Jazz Top 100” chart, as well as charting on independent Smooth Jazz and Soul music charts in Europe. Highlights include “Believe in Love,” “Audio Portrait,” “The Reason,” “Toy Box,” “So Sweet” and her lyricized duet version of Kenny G’s “Songbird” (with lyrics penned by Preston Glass) featuring Phillip Ingram on vocals and trumpeter, Willie Bradley .
