Soooo K.A.S.E. & i held a workshop on Music Production on Chewstick's Retreat last weekend. After i demonstrated a few techniques i use to create i decided to create something with everyone participating. So we recorded everything around us from babies crying, water jugs, spoons, random words, chess box to a pandeiro. The entire track was made from scratch!

This track was produced using the Instrument1 during my residency at the Ace Hotel New York curated by Artiphon.

The experience at the Ace was one of a kind. I was inspired by the space, the people/sounds we heard in the lobby, the food, and the fact that it was two separate elevators to get to the Attic. As soon as I walked into the room I caught the vibe…I didn’t really wait to get started, I poured up some wine and started strumming, letting the combination of the vibe of the Ace and the bustling sounds of the city coming from the window take the wheel. I actually found a melody very early on and used that as a stepping stone for the rest of “Reflection”. I look forward to catching a vibe at the Ace hotel again sometime soon.
