With the diversity of instrument experience, this gives Derek a wide range of styles and patterns to pull from while writing, performing, and composing songs.

Derek also participated in active lead roles in musicals in Jr./Sr. High School, local talent shows in St. Louis, Indianapolis, and Dallas/Ft Worth.
