I know that we have been friends for many years but I do not know this person’s name. “If you’re going to fantasize about space, why don’t you imagine something more glamorous like being an ambassador for earth?” I say in a lighthearted tone. “Well, now that you mention it, I suppose I would rather be an EGP pilot” my friend says with a sly smile. “Hey what’s that“ she points to the window. A large airbus had parked its self outside and was just hovering. This sort of thing is a normal occurrence, were it not for the fact that neither of us had seen this particular type of airbus before. “I’ve never seen one like that before“ I say. “Let’s go check it out!“ my friend shouts. We both run outside, taking no precautions for the rain. “Woah, whoever made this craft is definitely not human. It’s almost like it’s made out of light. And look around, I don’t think anyone else sees it. What do you think it is?” I say over the roar of craft flying by. No answer. I look around, but now both my friend and the craft are gone.

I have a lot of dreams about the future. The above story is based on once such dream I had recently. On April 16 I’m releasing a song called “Escape velocity” Inspired by this dream and many others. Whenever I catch a glimpse of the future in my dreams it is both fantastic and terrible. Have you ever had a dream about the future? What do you think the future will be like? Deep underwater in an old shipwreck, lives an octopus who's very eclectic. Octi likes to swim around at night, and likes to learn about waves and stars and light. Now Octopi are very smart, and Octi also had a very big heart. Octi saw all the mess around and wanted to help out all of the clown fish. And thats why, every single night, Octi learned about waves and stars and light. Cause soon enough it would all be gone, but not if Octi could sing a song.

This version of "Because" is inspired by the wildfires of 2020 in Colorado. For days, the sky has been a murky grey with thick, harsh, smoke-filled air. The sun had become red-shifted as less light was able to penetrate the smoke. At night, the moon was a constant, ominous red as well. This fire, and all that have been covering the planet lately are a reminder that we are dangerously close to complete annihilation of our planet and thus our own selves. The planet has been through extinction-level events several times in the past though, and has survived all of them. We have not.
