charlie shuck was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. He not only writes and performs in Jacksonville, he has been a staple in the music community for many years. He is building the songwriter community and connecting artists to each other through songwriter spotlights and by coordinating shows all over town. His music is deeply emotional though witty, dry, and humorous. His storytelling and darkly creative lyricism will draw you in with curiosity, while his brutal honesty creeps between nihilism and ironically, hope. While influenced by Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, The Band, Hank Williams, Woody Guthrie, and Daniel Johnston, his music is uniquely his own, and he has surely brought something entirely new and beautifully weird to the table.
