New premiere from Uruguayan producer Agustin G on Glasgow label Schematic.

Schematic 004 brings the imprints first V/A release – a mini compilation featuring a combination of local Scottish and international talent. Five tracks that go hard and fast, spanning 145-190BPM from Franck’s techno twist on the classic Stardust track, to DBTN’s “Did You Kill”, relentless gabber that pays homage to the Casual Gabberz legend, Evil Grimace. Agustin G keeps things minimal but tantalising with “Subliminal Messaging”, another fierce, up tempo track like those Agustin has become known for. Sektor brings the entrancing 160BPM sound with menacing track “Mechnical Pulse” and “Crime” by SP4D33S rounds off the V/A with a distorted, chaotic attack on your earholes.

All proceeds from the EP will be donated to Launchfoods; a Glasgow charity committed to feeding the city’s kids. (http://www.launchfoods.org)

HoxV-2: Spekki Webu x Heliobolus - Phylogenetic Analysis album

As Amniote Editions proudly celebrates its 5th anniversary, the label is excited to unveil 'HoxV-2: @spekkiwebu x Heliobolus - Phylogenetic Analysis,' the debut LP from long-time friend and collaborator, Spekki Webu, also known as Heliobolus. This 11-track project, shaped by a full year of meticulous studio experimentation, represents a bold exploration of sound, merging experimental techno with cinematic elements. “This is a journey of intertwined storylines, akin to parallel universes that connect and diverge.” Spekki explains.

At the heart of Phylogenetic Analysis lies the narrative of Heliobolus, a story of continuous evolution across different lifetimes, where Spekki Webu finds himself trapped in a cycle of spiritual searching and physical transformation. Drawing inspiration from science fiction, the artist crafts a dual narrative between tracks that oscillates between the spiritual and the surreal. Spekki tells us: ”The track ‘White Room’ is inspired by an intense psychedelic experience where his perception was wiped out for the endurance of a lifecycle, while ‘Forest Hunter’ delves into a recurring nightmare of being pursued in the woods. Later in life, I revisited these woods in a psilocybin session.” This gives just a peek into the kafkaesque corridors of Spekkis’s mind, leaving lingering questions for the listener for the rest of the release.

This LP not only embodies Spekki's artistic evolution in between alter egos - but also reflects the essence of Amniote Editions' five-year journey of curating forward-thinking electronic music. With influences ranging from 90s Dutch Goa to tribal rhythms, Spekki infuses a groove and funkiness throughout the album, balancing dance floor energy with cinematic sound design. 'HoxV-2: Spekki Webu x Heliobolus - Phylogenetic Analysis' is a testament to both the artist’s and the label's commitment to pushing boundaries, making this release a landmark moment in their shared history.

Beyond the Bridge proudly presents the latest EP from Dutch sonic architect Spekki Webu, titled "Neural Network," set to release on April 15, 2025. As the founder of Mirror Zone, Webu masterfully conjures a spectral world where time collapses and frequencies bend, inviting listeners on a mind-expanding journey through sound. His ritualistic compositions transcend conventional boundaries, merging past, present, and future into a singular, fluid moment.
The eight-track EP delves into an abstract landscape of high-intensity frequencies and textural flux. Webu’s sonic manipulations challenge linearity, evoking cyclical movements that oscillate between chaos and order. Each track serves as a kinetic force, pulsating with raw energy and enveloping the listener in immersive sonic architecture. The release also features two transformative remixes from Beyond the Bridge label head K.O.P. 32 and acclaimed producer Feral, each expanding the boundaries of interpretation into new dimensions.

Up next for our charity series 'International Chromies' we have a very dangerous 5 track EP from one of the sharpest electronic technicians in the kitchen 'Dagga' with his 'House Of Flying Daggers' EP.

Originally from Venezuela but now based in Bogotá, Dagga showcases his razor sharp ability to slice and dice a variety of flavours like Electro, Funk Carioca, Breaks & Techno with perfect precision on INTLCS002. Enlisting some help from the very talented DJ & Rapper 'DJ Fuckoff' who lays down some sweat drenched bars on 'Trick' the EP has all the serrated dance blades needed to cut through the most stubborn of dance floors.

With every Chromies release we like to ask our artist's which charity is closest to their heart and Dagga has chosen the Crisis in Yemen. So 100% of the profits from this release will be going to the International Rescue Committee (IRC) who are providing health, reproductive health nutrition, water and sanitation services to more than a quarter-million people. They also are delivering essential drugs and medical supplies to hospitals & training health staff on cholera treatment.
