--------------BIOGRAPHY-------- -------
Osaka based "daFukashi" is an electronic music producer / DJ / multi-instrumentalist and the former bass guitarist of a crossover band, Revolt Army. His music produces a distinctive fusion style of electronic dance music and heavy rock, funk, jazz, or even Japanese traditional music. He started music by playing the piano when he was in elementary school and was listening to American hip-hop and alternative metal when all the other kids were listening to top40 J-pop.
He started his music career as a bass & "synth-bass" guitarist and a song-writer of a multi-genre crossover band Revolt Army in the 2000s after he met and learned music in Australia. Although the band gained massive support from the Osaka underground scene with instant physical sold-out of their first EP and received some proposals from major Japanese record labels, the band stopped their activity because of a tragic accident. After over 10 years of blank with only unpublished works produced inside his studio, Covid-19 ironically made him decide to return to the music industry with full-time dedication. Completed an advanced mixing & mastering course held by one of the few Ableton certified trainers in Japan, Toru Ikemoto, he has raised the skills to combine his unique ideas of portions of different genres and been proving his talent by the only sound which is supported by a lot of fans besides one of his track was ranked the top on the Spinnin' Records Talent Pool's techno chart.
