That was a great first episode!  All three of you seem like natural podcasters.  I'll listen to every episode of this. I *think* I know what the Dark Tower tie-in in part two is, and if so, I personally don't agree that it IS that.  But it's very open to interpretation, and knowing King, it wouldn't surprise me at all if it WAS on purpose. (And there's a line in the prom sequence that 100% isn't Dark Tower related, but makes me think of it anyways, and haunts me a bit.)
