The A-side features a couple of housey numbers: the main single is a DID original sampling a dusty old kwaito groover; the other is a souped-up version of 90s slow jam, 'We'll Find Love' by Bas Noir.

The B-side features two Brazilian edits: a re-cut of 80s synth pop banger 'So Voce' by Vinicius Cantuaria, and the other from 70s disco-diva Rita Lee.

Hailing from Montreal, Canada, we are excited to welcome @cornelius_malware for the ninth edition of the selector series. He is part of @discosgraves, a collective and label with a strong audio-visual focus, releasing contemporary electronic music and edits beefing up gems from the past. Cornelius is creator of the label’s own Longboard Cruise edit series, capturing slow life during the hot summer months of coastal Lima. Due to perfect compatibility with the breezy afternoon vibes we curate at KS, we asked him to record a mix to accompany the recent release of the series’ second edition. 

We are glad he accepted - the outcome is a fantastic selection of his personal favourites, taking us on a trip through 80’s funk, boogie, synth-pop and obscure fusions thereof, including previously released and also unreleased material. This set is road trip-approved or alternatively highly recommended for simmering in the tropical sun.

Number 9 in the TFS series comes in from our good friend Norman, and is the longest mix we've featured so far (by a significant margin), clocking in at just over two hours.
Pete's another Sheffield local with a hugely diverse record collection, that I met a few years ago via a residency we shared in Loughborough. He's got a superb taste in music, and you'll as often hear him firing out blistering techno for nights such as Apogee, as you will smooth soul and disco for one of his many residencies in our city.

For this Maledetta mixtape, I recorded an exclusive set with some of my pearls on vinyl format, touring various styles within italo, boogie, tropical, edits, from the 70s to the present.

About Isaac :

Isaac Peces is 31 years-old Dj and vinyl lover based in Galicia (Spain), who plays elegant and eclectic music revolving around modern-soul, funk, rare disco, boogie, house, balearic, edits, dub, italo, tropical, etc. He has played during the last decade at festivals such as Womex, Jazzaldia or Noroeste, as well as more than a hundred clubs and venues throughout Europe (Brilliant Corners, Canvas, Le Mellotron, Berlin Cafe, Afrodisia, Marula, etc.). Also forms the Souldiggers, Fiera del Disco & Estranhas Criaturas collectives. With mixtapes are published by labels and radio stations such as Lovemonk, Keakie, Sonideros, Apricot Ballroom, Monarch, Jazzatik,Bill Brewster, etc. Isaac combines technique, versatility and really love for vinyl, which makes him, despite his age, a regular on the Galician and national scene.
