PERE is the new electronic project of Shahar Amit aka Tribone. Born and raised in Israel, Shahar has been traveling around the world, gathering multicultural influences from the dynamic scenes of Australia, Europe, and The Americas.

This track also features the instrumental work of acclaimed musician Si Mullumby (Wild Marmalade) who masterfully wields his didgeridoo to illustrate the song across more than seven minutes of hypnotic rhythms and beats. Listen for a colorful glimpse into the sounds to come from two of the psychedelic underground’s most esteemed electronic producers as they explore the landscapes of tribal house music.

Full album, ‘Afar’, arrives July 30th on Desert Trax.

"...& So It Goes" was the 3rd full length album from Kaya Project. Focused on more acoustic instrumentation than the previous albums, “…& So It Goes” is an exotic tapestry of slide guitar, klezmer clarinet (played by Susi Evans) , classical Indian violin (Deepak Pandit) and Arabic mowals fused with tribal percussion, breakbeats and Gypsy jazz. Laced with Seb's signature guitar work & Natasha's keyboards, dreamlike vocals and flute, the album also featured a range of vocal contributions from the likes of Deeyah, Randolph Matthews, Irina Mikhailova, Florence Comment and others. Taking the unmistakable Kaya Project sound to new levels, Seb and Natasha artfully created a warm and timeless musical experience, leaving the listener plenty of delectable elements to savor.

The entire Desert Trax family has come together around the ambitious new remix project for Poranguí.

Multi-instrumentalist, storyteller, and world-bridger Poranguí Carvalho McGrew, whose personal background is as varied as his musical library has amassed a stunning collection of songs over the years, and Desert Dwellers' extended family is helping bring his originals to more people through a double album of remixes as powerful as its source material.

Desert Dwellers themselves open up the new collection, Poranguí Remixes Vol I, and give way to new downtempo house producer, Spice Trader. As part of his travels and musical adventures, Poranguí has been a part of the Liquid Bloom live band, and now the project brings to life a reimagining of “Oxum.” Other Desert Trax favorites getting in on the action include TRIBONE, Stratusphere, Drumspyder, and Shamans Dream & Geometrae. An unlikely combo is even forged between Mandala Affect and dela Moon, resulting in a gorgeous, almost liquid drum & bass but silkier take on “Stardust.”

Another entire second volume of Poranguí remixes are under wraps for now, but fans will be able to dive into this first assembly July 12th.
