Nakami “Kenyatta” Qamar is a rising voice in the emo and alternative music scene. Born on October 10, 2001, Nakami’s journey began in the North before he made his way to the South, where he now resides in the heart of Atlanta a city known for cultivating some of music’s most groundbreaking artists.
He first discovered his passion for music in 2019, diving into the artform with curiosity and raw emotion. What began as exploration quickly evolved into purpose, as Nakami realized he had something real to say and the sound to say it with. His music draws from deep emotional wells, often blending vulnerability with sharp-edged delivery, a signature style that resonates with fans of emo rap, alternative rock, and genre-defying experimentation.
Since starting his musical journey, Nakami has released two EPs and one full-length album, each showcasing his evolution not only as an artist but as a storyteller.
