DJ Lamebrane has been a veteran of the Chicago drum & bass scene since the late 90s. Creator and host of "The Hangover Hotline", he has been with Bassdrive since the very first broadcast back in the early 2000s. Lamebrane's style of mixing the classics with the freshest A1 cuts has allowed him to play alongside some of the best dnb djs in the game and he has warmed up the dancefloor for artists like Total Science, Makoto, S.P.Y. , Gerra & Stone, & Andy C for 25+ years. Jay has been buying music since the early 80s, which continued into the transition of early acid house into the late 80s where he learnt his craft playing on pirate radio stations and early warehouse parties.

In the early 90s he performed for Coventry based Amnesia House rave promoters at various venues in the midlands, this then opened the door to become resident at the Eclipse Nightclub in Coventry

With this super club being at the forefront of the midlands scene Jay shared the decks with heavyweight DJs such as Fabio & Grooverider,Jumping Jack Frost, Coventry established DJs such as the Metalheadz general Doc Scott, Neil Trix from the FBD Project and also house music duo Parks & Wilson.

Saturday afternoons in the early 2000s were spent alongside DJ and producer Neil Trix and DJ Luke, selling the freshest tunes at the well-established midlands records shop and drum and bass label Bang – In – Tunes.

Currently hosting a twice monthly Saturday internet radio show called Urban Culture on the popular Renegade Radio 107.2FM, Jay has also integrated into music production with the well-established radio host and DJ / Producer LJ High from Bassdrive.com Mac 2 records.

With the release of his album, singles, remixes, and many collaborations with Marky & S.P.Y, JayBee, Dave Owen, T.R.A.C, and Ben Soundscape, his tracks have turned many heads to his unique skillset in songwriting and production. Random Movement’s soulful, smooth, deep and jazzy vibes have landed releases on Hospital, Innerground, V, CIA, Integral, Fokuz, Good Looking, Creative Source, Intrigue and more.

Between tours, production, a weekly live radio show on Bassdrive.com, a monthly podcast, and most recently the start up of his label “Flight Pattern”, things are continuing to be very productive for this prolific producer. His uplifting style and great personality are not something to be missed on the decks.
