Raised on a diet of breakbeat, techno and house in the underground clubs of Glasgow in the early 2000s, Desktop Science Project showcases the diverse, melody driven output from producer James Greig. Initially involved in the scene as a graphic designer for club night flyers and posters around the city, he was introduced to music production by a flatmate and soon began sharing home-baked tracks with DJ friends, not even realising that his tunes could be classed as breakbeat.
