Solid Grooves welcome Romanian talent Alenzex as he makes his first appearance on the label with '4eva'.

A rising name within the Romanian house scene, DJ and producer Alenzex looks set for a big year as he starts to build momentum with support from a host of leading artists within the scene - most notably from label co-founders Michael Bibi and PAWSA within their sets over the past two years. A resident of one of Romania's most well-known venues Database, he now adds to his production accolades in style as he opens Solid Grooves' 2021 schedule with his debut outing on the label, '4eva'.

A hypnotic and infectious production fuelled by ever-evolving funk-tinged arpeggios and alluring female vocal hooks places atop of slick percussion shots and punchy kicks, '4eva' reveals an impressive label debut from an artist firmly on the rise.

Jose M & Ciclo team up for ‘New Era’ on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax this November. 

Jose M & Ciclo, both hailing from Medellin, Colombia, have previously collaborated on labels such as Safe Underground, Whoyostro, and others, as well as boasting individual releases on the likes of Cuff, Roush, and Snatch! Records. Now readying their latest joint productions for Jamie Jones’ Hottrax, the duo bring two grooving, club-ready creations to the label on ‘New Era’. 

“This EP represents all of our taste for Old School House music, the pumps, squelches, soars and thumps, riffs and rolling rhythms inspired on the dance floor. It is very important for us to be a part of Hottrax, we set a goal, and we worked hard until we achieved it.” - Jose M & Ciclo.

Argentinian DJ and producer, Jerëmie., makes his welcome return to Pirate Copy’s Kaluki Musik with a brand-new EP, teaming up with vocalist Cami Jones on lead track ‘Deja Vu' and an exciting remix from Sante Sansone to complete the package.

Jerëmie.’s passion for music started at an early age, following in the footsteps of his super talented family who are all famous musicians themselves. Attracted by the Deep, Minimal, Tech House sounds, Jerëmie. started out DJing in 2008, followed closely by producing and making his own tunes shortly after and going on to receive the support of AAA artists including wAFF, Marco Carola, Richy Ahmed and Luciano. 

The ‘Deja Vu' EP offers two dancefloor groovers fresh out the studio, showcasing Jerëmie.’s distinctive sound combined with hypnotic drum patterns, exciting synth transitions, bubbling basslines, captivating vocals and grooving low-end throughout. Next up on Black Seven Music, Kubbo Records frontman Gustaff delivers a whopping EP in the form of ‘Back On Cluj’. Following on from releases on Lemon-Aid, Distance Music, Libero and more, The Salamanca-based artist makes his debut with two original cuts and a pair of striking remixes from Libero label boss Dan Costello, Chris Brooks and Venezuelan artist, Marlon C.



Kicking things off, the title track fits the archetypal mould of Black Seven’s foundational acoustic format. Punchy drum work collides with the scattering of hats and shakers to build a shuffling groove. Beyond that, the track has a robust and driving low-end bassline accompanied by subtle synth hits and tonal percussion. It’s all tied together with frequent injections of a memorable vocal topline - a track with the whole package indeed!



Following on nicely from the original, Libero’s Dan Costello treats us to an upbeat adaptation of the original with impressive grit and gusto. Bringing a signature slice of his imprint to the table, this quintessentially groovy remix is pacey but still somehow pleasantly nonchalant. The real magic lies within the seemingly endless layers of perfectly panned and EQ’d percussive elements that fill every frequency field on the spectrum. As much of a sensory experience as it is a dancefloor heater.



Chris Brooks takes things up a gear and a few pounds too, with his roaring re-do of the title track. A ferocious spin on an already captivating track, this remix screams peak time crammed terrace dancefloor at the top of its lungs. Climatic builds and thunderous throwdowns to tie a knot at each end of its heavyweight underbelly that pulsates from start to finish. If you like your Tech heavy, this one will pique your interest.



Taking things back deeper, ‘Wet Western’ is an interestingly creative track with a tonne of weight. Drawing for a loaded low-frequency sub that fires continuously throughout the track’s main segments, they make the perfect partner for its pounding kicks and loosely swung percussive structure. A track with a Latin presence and tribal power along with a splash of the old wild west, you’ll be collecting the bounty on this one a few times over.



Finishing strong with Marlon C’s Remix of the b-side, it comes with a bassline reminiscent of the early days of house music. Carrying an undeniably authentic slither of Chicago influence, it floats flawlessly between the remix track and segments of his creative depth - making for an experience that doesn’t tire in its enjoyment, making it a timeless piece of music.

Not so long ago two great friends left the country where they lived and moved to Brooklyn, NY. There they re-builded their studio, produced new tracks far away from day-in day-out madness of the life they left behind for a while.
In this creative and intimate isolation the idea of the label came up – just like the next step to be taken in their intense relation. In July 2007 this idea became reality when Desolat was born.

Desolat is now a Düsseldorf-based label founded by Loco Dice and Martin Buttrich. Both Dice and Buttrich had a long-standing artistic career in music before they decided to take a challenge and create a platform to release music they like independently and fast.
