BUTCH RETURNS TO DESOLAT THIS OCTOBER

For a long time now, Butch has been regarded as one of the most versatile producers in electronic music and his releases across a range of different labels including  Sei es Drum, Cocoon, Rekids and Visionquest reflect this. Equally adept at making peak time records as he is at delivering deep and weird tracks, Butch’s productions always have a distinct and particular character to them. After making his Desolat debut on the ‘FTS EP’ back in May 2013, Butch returns this October with four shadowy mechanical mutations.

Both ‘LFO’ and ‘Sphere’ are formidable techno assaults which contains an array of dystopian beeps and blips. On ‘Delusion’ Butch takes a beautifully hypnotic and psychedelic approach, with a distinctive woodwind sound meandering throughout the track. One for the early hours.  ‘Tone 2.0’ rounds off the EP in a similarly dark vein with, full of flickering electronic tones and drum rolls. 

The ‘Sinus Tones & 808s EP’ is even better than you would expect from Butch. Staying true to its name, this release will appeal to those who are in need of some killer explorations of dark leftfield sounds done with that unique Butch charm.

Damelo 'Body Language' Debut on Sound D’Elite Is Late-Night Club Gold

Alright, heads down for this one. Damelo lands on Sound D’Elite with serious purpose, dropping a debut EP that screams after-hours energy and proper basement bounce. The Damelo Body Language EP is a groove-loaded statement from the Miami up-and-comer, and we’ve got the exclusive premiere of the standout heater ‘Ooh Ohh’ – a face-scrunching collab with London X that slaps in all the right ways.

Cutting his teeth on labels like COCO, Deeperfect, and Night Service Only, Damelo’s been bubbling under with chunky rollers and percussive weapons that’ve grabbed the ears of heavyweights like Paco Osuna, Nicole Moudaber, and The Martinez Brothers. Now he steps into the Sound D’Elite spotlight with three club-ready cuts built for sweaty booths and Funktion-One floors.

‘Ooh Ohh’ leads the charge with hypnotic vocal chops, skippy drums, and that low-end bounce that DJs love to ride through peak-time. Title track ‘Body Language’ rolls in with stripped-back intent, all tension and groove, while ‘Wrong Way’ takes a darker turn, pushing mood and momentum in equal measure.

Not so long ago two great friends left the country where they lived and moved to Brooklyn, NY. There they re-builded their studio, produced new tracks far away from day-in day-out madness of the life they left behind for a while.
In this creative and intimate isolation the idea of the label came up – just like the next step to be taken in their intense relation. In July 2007 this idea became reality when Desolat was born.

Desolat is now a Düsseldorf-based label founded by Loco Dice and Martin Buttrich. Both Dice and Buttrich had a long-standing artistic career in music before they decided to take a challenge and create a platform to release music they like independently and fast.
