It's been a minute since I cooked up a fresh boom bap beat. But I'm feeling the itch to get back in the lab and see what I can come up with. There's just something about crafting those sick drum patterns and laying down some dope melodies that gets me hyped up. And now that I'm finally back in the zone, it feels like I never left. I just love making music, man. Can't wait to see what I'll come up with this time around!

The Grey Skies Of The Haunted Playground

around six months ago i began working on this song.  this is an mp3 i rendered of it a few months ago to show people what i had at the time.  so, in other words, i guess you could say this song was "finished" a while ago.

as some of you may already know, my hard drive kind of completely died on me in my essentially unusable laptop in mid-november, and all of the work that either wasnt saved in a dropbox somewhere, or, wasnt in the possession of any of my friends, disappeared forever.  this was one of them.  the module, at least.  i had this mp3 saved in my public dropbox though.

its pretty unfinished, with all of the polishing that was to be done, but i couldnt bring myself to remake the song entirely because with the death of my hard drive was the death of my (kind of) extensive library of samples and instruments.

this upload was kind of impulsive because i felt like i havent really posted on soundcloud lately and i didnt want to look dead so i hope you guys enjoy this filler tune that hopefully tomorrow morning i dont regret uploading, haha

The world of Elancia is littered with "star junk," strange bits of an ancient civilization that is slowly falling from the sky. Many of these ruins lay dormant for decades, rotting away far from modern cities. Still, many a traveler has happened across a pocket or two of star-junk in their time. Typically, ruin-runners and junkers are the only folk typically brave enough to make their way inside to claim whatever it is the people from the Sky Ring left behind. Devout Elians say the strange machines within are a gift from Elia. Junkers say that they're filled with a treasure trove of information and technology. Ruin runners just like to make a quick buck.
Our plucky heroes, though... that's another story altogether.
