With 15 years of releases under their belt, Dessous Recordings present another Classics project. Longtime collaborator and label family member Phonique revisits his seminal 'For the Time Being‘ featuring Erlend Øye, pulling together all the remixes into one handy package. 

Alongside the original cut from 2004‘s 'Identification' long player, this release also features eight other remixes covering the house spectrum. 

Three new mixes for 2013 provide fresh takes on the track. Phonique's own 10 Years After Remix layers up the emotive synths into an evolving 8-minute epic while Bruno Be sets the control for outer space with his deep rework. Englander Burnski also delivers a club-ready bomb focusing firmly on the groove. 

Each sits perfectly alongside some of the hottest reworks from the label's past, including Alexkid's classy Cold Mix, Ripperton's deep and techy mix from 2009 joins Motorcitysoul's 2005 acidic workout – all making full use of Øye's haunting vocals. 

Neil Quigley's tough yet emotional tech-house perspective further underlines the versatility of Phonique's original material, while Funkagenda vs Trophy Twins' remake is aimed firmly at the main room floor. 

Beatport customers will also receive an exclusive new remix from Wehbba & Accioly – two rising stars of the Brazilian deep house scene.

This three-song EP features a broad pallet of Bob's musical abilities, beginning with A1 ''Fever'', co-written with his close Berklee friend and collaborator Bedo. This track kicks-off the EP with chord-heavy grooves and simple, yet effective vocals. It follows up with ''New Beginnings'', an emotive tune which showcases the intricacies of the songwriter approach to house music: meaningful lyrics and heavy grooves.The EP ends with ''Ride Club'' a jazzy dance floor tune which features heavy use of cymbals and scat vocals, this is a must-have release for every deep jazz head out there!

Dusky techno disco tools on this fifth new one from Shadow Pressings, a UK outfit who've here nonetheless titularly alluded to the Chicago house scene. Of course, not all of us can afford to fly out to Illinois on a whim, and many of us prefer instead to let the city's long-release intoxicant effect run its course on the collective ear from a distance. The label-artist here proffers the gruffer stuff, from the grunting percs of 'Tears' through to the smoother high piquancies of 'Lost In The Dance', both of which nail that irreverent, not-too-much mood innate to all the best dance music.

UK deep delvers Soul Quest are raring to set 2025 right, after an inaugural 2024 spent establishing their footing in V/A selections comps of a higher-grade but still playful character. A wicked year so far has heard them incant two especial EPs from Jean-Jez and Max Sinal, and that's not to mention another heater V/A of their own: the three-a-sider 'Maintain Attitude'. Now five further remixes of Sinal's earlier 'Intentions' setpiece surface, ringing out the room by way of careful and frequent attention, paid to the track by Frits Wentink, JT Donaldson and Flying Moth. The Live Mix from Sinal at the end is also second to none, its rapid-echo plucks a treat.
