The word prodigy often gets tossed around whenever a young person shows promise, but for Young  Devyn, that description is incredibly accurate. As a baby, it was clear that music ran through her veins,  stunning doctors by humming to her heartbeat while in the nursery. Destined for greatness at an early  age, Devyn overcame a rare condition called Kawasaki disease by the age of 2 and grew to embrace the  tradition of Soca music, set against the backdrop of the legendary Brooklyn hip hop culture. This is the  music of her homeland and of her heart. 
 
Born Devyn Tyson, the Brooklyn-bred Trinidadian artist performed at local talent shows as a child. In one  show when she was just 7 years old, a recording of Devyn’s performance went viral on Facebook and  caught the eye of her uncle, who invited her to his digital Soca radio show. After appearing on his show,  Devyn’s name began to spread like wildfire in the Soca scene and her musical career had officially  launched. From her viral freestyle videos and standout appearances on Sway in the Morning & The BET  Hip Hop Awards Cypher to receiving co-signs from the likes of Taraji P. Henson, Nicki Minaj, Waka Flocka  and more, Young Devyn is focused on maximizing her talents and poised to become both a music  superstar and legacy artist.

Dustystaytrue takes pride in beating the odds. The acclaimed artist hails from New Haven, Connecticut — a city where he grew up witnessing two different worlds: one full of affluence and opportunity, and another full of crime and generational curses. Throughout his childhood, he was more accustomed to the latter. Carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders from a young age, he turned to music as a form of therapy.
