Lucy is the nom de techno of Italian-born and Berlin-based Luca Mortellaro, one of the genre’s most exciting and ambitious DJ/producers. Since 2009, Mortellaro has focused his work through his own Stroboscopic Artefacts label, building an imprint and personal discography that has established itself as one of techno’s finest.
Lucy (née Luca Mortellaro) is one of the pre-eminent sonic adventurers of his time. Not bound to conventional pre-conceptions of what an electronic musician, producer, or DJ must be, Lucy has evolved his distinct sound signature by reconciling the deeply personal with the esoteric, and by harmonizing the spheres of technology and biology. In doing so, he has become rare as an artist, in his ability to please an audience while also introducing them to elements they were not yet familiar with and thereby pushing them out of their comfort zone. Whether he is acting in the role of producer, DJ, performer, or Stroboscopic Artefacts’ curator, Lucy’s clear passion for creative evolution and mutation is something that continues to attract new listeners, and keeps giving his current supporters new reasons to continue tuning in.

ELECTRONIC LIVE Performance since 97

Singer since 1990 in various groups ranging from alternative rock to Jimmy Hendrick and the Red Hot Cure or see Pink Floyd, I discovered electronic music in 95. 

I begin by mixing Techno, Trance and scratches included in the compositions of my last group of rock fusion style "Sly Circus". It follows the discovery of Spiral Tribe and the evolution of my widening mix of Trip Hop to Drum and Bass, Hardcore and the desire to create my own compositions. 

With the purchase of a Roland MC 303 and after three months of concentrated effort to manipulate loops on this little box, I live in begins 98. I insert loops into the compositions of the group while starting to play live in the evenings. 

The group splitter in 2002, and I keep my songs and lives strongly influenced by the sounds Tribe, Break Beat, Drum and Bass, Hip-hop show. 

In 2004, I appeared on a live cd (Family Production, Prod ES) and 2005 on my first vinyl young label "Statik Travel" through the meeting Barouf aka Wise Children. 

In late 2005, thanks to former local knowledge, I co-founded the association 4Kicks Production and sign on the first and second opus label Mutation Android. In late 2008, according to new horizons and following the arrival of my son's love, I find myself again solo. 

2009, I co-produced with the leitmotif Sound System Azimuth Records first signing in 2 pieces. 

Again, I share the feeling of the research group and agree on many proposals for combining musical collaboration turns Mc, percussion, guitar, bass and live performer and dj.

HELPER is an artist hailing from the northeastern French country of Champagne and is already well known within the bass and electronica European music circles.

For the last 10 years he has been playing under his previous alias “KGOL” at important Parisian venues such as the “SOCIAL CLUB”, “LE NOUVEAU CASINO” or the legendary “BATOFAR”.
However HELPER isn’t just confined to the French scene and has also played at various prestigious venues across Europe such as the “FUSE” club in Brussels, “THE HUB” in London or the “TIVOLY” in Utrecht, sharing line-ups with BRODINSKY, BENGA, LA FEMME, HYPHEN HYPHEN, WE ARE ENFANT TERRIBLE, BIG RED  and many more international artists. 
Recently, HELPER gathered a lot of attention after his excellent set at the “CABARET VERT” music festival.
We are proud to say that this fierce producer has just released his new project through our HIGHLIFE RECORDINGS label.
On this new album (or EP…) Anthony goes back to basics with his very personal and
intimate style where bass music, trip-hop, footwork and jungle all collide in singular
fashion.  HELPER’s  cold, eerie and atmospheric soundscapes perfectly merging with
deep and rhythmic bass lines.

Helper est un artiste de la région Champagne-Ardenne, déjà bien connu du monde de la bass music et de l'électronique.

Sous le nom de Kgol, il a écumé pendant dix ans de nombreuses scènes comme le Social Club, le Nouveau Casino ou encore l'incontournable Batofar à Paris. Il se produit aussi dans le prestigieux club Fuse à Bruxelles, The Hub à Londres ou encore au Tivoly à Utrecht où il a partage la scène avec  BRODINSKY, BENGA, LA FEMME, HYPHEN HYPHEN, WE ARE ENFANT TERRIBLE, BIG RED et bien d'autres artistes internationaux.

Lors de son passage très remarqué sur la neuvième édition du Festival Le Cabaret Vert il conquiert un nouveau public et confirme son talent.

Producteur acharné, c'est dorénavant avec le Label Highlife Recordings qu' Helper présente son nouveau projet. Anthony repose les bases, un style plus personnel ou se mêlent ses influences bass music, trip-hop, footwork et jungle.

Ses ambiances froides, inquiétantes et digitales se mélangent aux basses profondes et rythment les changements de tempo portés par un beat puissant. Il présente cette année son nouveau live ,énergique et captivant à découvrir absolument !
