'Nick Beringer’s Rubisco imprint returns this September with the ‘Timeframe’ EP coming courtesy of up and coming Dutch artist, Sota.
Amsterdam born now Berlin based producer and DJ Sota has been steadily gaining traction via releases on Ornate Music and his own Talaman imprint. Here though we see him joining the roster of fellow Berlin based artist, Nick Beringer’s Rubisco imprint, home to material from the likes of Diego Krause, Julian Alexander, Ed Herbst, Maik Yells, the label head himself and more.

‘Take Me To My Planet’ leads on the package, twisting and turning via a snaking bass groove, heavily swung drums, metallic percussive chimes and modulating synth pulses before title-cut ‘Timeframe’ focuses on murky pad textures choppy bass stabs, shuffled hats and glitched out synth flutters.

‘Watkins’ then rounds out the release on a deeper tip, employing airy chords, rounded sub bass tones and organic drums to all subtly bloom and unfold across six and a half minutes.'

Hot on the heels of the inaugural What NxT Digital release, which saw all tracks in the their respective charts, we bring you more fresh tunes courtesy of hot new talents Niko Maxen, Kepler and Marvin Morgan, who all possess their own unique style and groove. 

Kicking off wth Maxen's 185, a prime example of one of his joined up grooves, where each element seems to roll of the last, it is not surprising that he has already released on favourites Hoarder and Pathway Traxx. 

London's Marvin Morgan follows and we are very happy to be able to present his debut release in what is bound to be a long a successful recording career. 'Question Is...' glides through minimal textures with a hypnotic tribal rhythm underpinning throughout. 

As per usual we dedicate half of the offering to one artist and this time it is Kepler. Hailing from Leeds like Niko Maxen, Keplers's two tracks showcase all that is great about his quirky, intelligent take on reduced groovy house music. No wonder his tracks are playing regularly by many of the scenes influencing artists.

Monday Morning Records boss Manuel De Lorenzi heads to Archie Hamilton’s Moss Co. with ‘Obsession’, featuring a remix from Parisian artist Djebali. Manuel De Lorenzi first established his roots playing alongside the likes of Tom Clark and Dyed Soundorom at renowned Italian clubs Aqva Disco Village and Buongiorno Classic. Since his first residency at Aqva and a wealth of parties at Buongiorno, Lorenzi has gone on to become a prolific producer with previous releases on Kindisch, Bamboleo and Play Groove. He is now joined by globetrotting DJ, label head and REX Club regular, Djebali, who delivers on the remix duties. Djebali then continues down the percussive vein on his remix of ‘Cappuccino’ with stereo effects, a pumping sub-bass riff, pulsing congas, and clean mid-range kicks.
