London record shop and label Phonica Records launches new sub label Phonica AM. Curated by staff member and DJ Luther Vine, the label will provide a home for a new take on 90's inspired ‘proper’ tech house, and music within this ball park. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

To kick start this new label, Luther approached the mysterious duo Voodoos and Taboos to release 'If We Were' EP. So far, the two producers have only released EPs and LPs on their own record label Voodoos And Taboos Records, and made few appearances on compilations. We don't know a lot about them - not even their face - but the music speak for itself. "I was blown away by the music after discovering their production through stocking their first two releases," said Luther. Indeed, it is not until he heard their tunes that he took the decision to start a new Phonica imprint. "With all due respect to some of the music being released at the moment, there seems to be an over saturation with this rehashed 90s Prog House resurgence...
