Jay Tripwire’s innovation, broad musical experience and extraordinary
ability for storytelling through his compelling music productions are
brought to full display on our next pressed chapter, Ceremony EP.
This release brings you four deep tracks with groove-heavy
compositions complemented by eloquent textures and thoughtful
synth work.

Tripwire provides two ardent compositions of avant-garde mood
paired seamlessly alongside a crisp collaboration with Vuew
Recording’s main musical and visual curator, Ra.mod. The rich scope
of musical maturity displayed by Ceremony EP’s original tracks is
delightfully balanced with remix work by standout producer Melodie,
who provides his signature musical aesthetic filled with splendid
room-filling drums, evocative soundscapes, and apt compositions.

The EP’s title willfully describes the essence of the sound captured on
this record. Ceremony EP is a beautiful collection of timeless,
stripped-down grooves, grassroots swings, sophisticated rhythms,
ethereal sound design, driving basslines, and atmospheric melodies

journeys.

Sentaku’s eighth instalment introduces listeners to the mythical Japanese deities who played a pivotal role in the creation of the land in a world of nothingness, Izanagi & Izanami. Through their divine union, use-birthed the islands of Japan and laid the foundation for life to flourish. Their story embodies the creative forces of nature and the duality inherent in all existence.
Louison starts with ‘Izanagi & Izanami’, a sonic journey weaving with earth-like sounds and celestial melodies, followed by “I Can Fly” taking a more progressive turn, with pulsating basslines and soaring synths. On the flipside comes ‘Reflections’, delving into darker and spookier realms while maintaining an undeniable energy, perfect for the dancefloor. Finally, he closes with ‘Tension & Passion’ slowing the tempo down to a hypnotic groove, with trance-like sounds immersing listeners in the ethereal atmosphere.

The name of the imprint pays homage to Syrian poet Suleiman Al-Aissa, one of the most prominent contemporary Arab poets. The intent of SULEIMAN RECORDS and its vinyl-only sub-label AISSA RECORDS is to promote and produce positive, quality, underground electronic music. This three-track original work is a masterclass in minimalistic electronica, weaving together intricate textures and subtle rhythms to create a sense of atmospheric tension. The fourth and final sector of the Jack’s Favorites series has landed, and the Det Gode Selskab collective are certainly finishing on a high. An enormous package of club orientated sounds including a phenomenal selection of artists including Philipp Boss, Ignacio Morales, Shakèd, Phill Prince, Gabri-L and SanAndreas. Let’s Jack! 

Pacey peak time action from the returning Philipp Boss, “Badesalt” is ready to be slammed into any given dance floor to get the juices flowing. Ignacio Morales’ “Delayed Advance” is layered with squelchy acid tones, and hypnotic drum patterns. Shaked spices up the release with a slick house heater “Fanatiek”, animated movements throughout the track offering something different to the release. Phill Prince’s Okay “Lost The Key” has a charming groove, nodding towards the French electro era, playful yet punchy and will be sure to slot into your collection. Powerful broken drums land us in hot water as we reach the penultimate track of the Jack’s Favourites series, Gabri-L’s “Doesn’t Really Matter”. Dropping the release on its head is first and last Drum & Bass track of the four releases, bringing further dynamic to the DGS label, abrupt and lively action from a label favorite - SanAndreas. 

Spread across the four parts Det Gode Selskab have brought together an innovative array of sounds, and artists who inspire the label to do what they do. Firmly stamping themselves outside of Oslo with the release reaching far and wide.
