Duet improwizujący między ciszą a hałasem + performance! // duo improvising between silence and noise

Paweł Hendrich was born in 1979 in Wrocław (Poland). After studying engineering and economics at the Wrocław University of Economics he studied composition at the K. Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław (prof. Grażyna Pstrokońska Nawratil) and at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne (prof. York Höller).

The works of Paweł Hendrich have been performed at concerts and festivals in Austria, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and United States of America.

The composer has received commissions from: Warsaw Autumn Festival (Ensemble Musikfabrik, Basel Sinfonietta, Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra), Warsaw Philharmonic, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Deutschlandfunk (Kwartludium), Goethe-Institut, BHF BANK Stiftung and Ensemble Modern, The Municipality of Wrocław (NOSPR), Polish Institute in Madrid (PluralEnsemble), Institute of Music and Dance, Orkiestra Muzyki Nowej, Chain Ensemble, The Forbidden City Chamber Orchestra, National Forum of Music (Lutosławski Quartet, LutosAir Quintet, NFM Leopoldinum String Trio, Studio Dan), ZAiKS Polish Authors' Association as well as from the Polish Composers' Union (Pablostrom, Orkest De Ereprijs).

Among Paweł Hendrich’s most significant awards and distinctions are: The Decoration of Honor Meritorious for Polish Culture (2017) and the Bronze Cross of Merit (2022) – both awarded by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Scholarship of the Mayor of Wrocław (2020), and the Annual Award of the Polish Composers' Union (2025).

For several years now, he has been programming, composing and performing live electroacoustic music. With Cezary Duchnowski and Sławomir Kupczak he founded the electroacoustic group Phonos ek Mechanes. So far, trio has performed at festivals of improvised, contemporary and electroacoustic music, and at concerts in Poland and abroad.

In 2010 DUX released Paweł Hendrich's monographic record "Chamber Works", in 2017 second one called  "Metaforma" and in 2025 the third "Fractalized". In 2012 Bôłt Records released Phonos ek Mechanes’ first CD called  "C+-". In addition, his works have been published on several other CDs, including Ensemble Modern label.

Paide is a DJ and promoter of the footwork culture in Poland and worldwide. He’s also one of the curators of the dub techno compilations: „Szmery” (Kanu Kanu, 2015) and "Doubts" (Pawlacz Perski, 2016).

In 2010, inspired by the first footwork Planet Mu releases, he started with podcasts series on radio-alternator broadcast promoting Chicago footwork. That idea was pioneering in Poland (amongst just a very few, similiar one, worldwide at that time) and became an inspiration for the others. Until 2016 he was a member of Polish Juke, the crew he co-founded with Mateo.

Apart from his promoter role, he played alongside the top footwork artists from Chicago: DJ Rashad, DJ Spinn, DJ Earl and Traxman. In 2016 he visited Japan where he played shows in Tokyo and Osaka alongside the most important Japanese footwork producers: DJ Fulltono, CRZKNY, Kent from Paisley Parks, Hiroki Yamamura, Satanicpornocultshop, Boogie Mann, Keito and many more. Later on this year he also had the opportunity to take part of the Unsound Festival in Cracow as an artist.

In 2016 he also started his own tape label outlines focused on more experimental side of footwork music and 160BPM. The idea of the label is to release tapes with over 9 minutes 160 BPM/footwork track on each side of the tape. So far he has brought out a series of tapes dedicated to the creators of minimal footwork: DJ Fulltono, CRZKNY and Skip Club Orchestra. Another series is dedicated to the female producers. Two of three tapes have been already released and belong to Aylu and AGF.

is the fruit of inspired cooperation between 2 friends moRgan & veriKami. They combine their experience in the fields of the contemporary music, visual arts, design and art of programming, engineering and system’s architecture.

The experimental character of the project disclosed by the merger of modes of shaping audio-visual matter and scientific reflection on the anatomy of sound and its resonance in living organisms. 

By transcending the european tonal system with its 12 degree scale we explore the varying degrees of acoustic issues drawing on the experience of Pythagoras with his study of the relationship between the sounds, the controversy surrounding the reference frequency (concert pitch 432 hz) to the principles of sacred geometry.
