The collaboration between Quixotic and The Human Experience expands beyond the sonic experience and into the mixed media world. Quixotic blends world class music with performance art, using cutting edge visual projections with aerial, dance, and fire ballet to convey mysterious and beautiful worlds. On this release, Quixotic's own live band collaborated with David Block's cinematic compositions to create a synesthetic explosion on the senses.

Over the course of two years, Block worked with Shane Borth (Violin/Viola) and Anthony Magliano (Hang Drum/Percussion), sending files back and forth, receiving direction from Borth and Magliano as to what kind of musical landscapes they were envisioning for the performance.  Finally, "From The Outside Looking In" was born.

The album weaves together sounds from around the world.  Listeners can expect a palette of sensual, global, organic-electronica, fit for one of the most mesmerizing performances on earth.

The stunning and surreal environments that set the scene for this experimental movement troupe has aligned its performers with the most progressive acts in the electronic music scene (Dave Tipper and Shpongle, among others), but its undeniable grace, transcendent athleticism, and dogmatic dedication to haute couture also allows Quixotic to flawlessly complement the Kansas City Symphony.

"Descarga Pintoresca Y Cosas Chéveres" is an upbeat driven descarga track with psychedelic organs and keyboards.
Released 19th May 2014 on Demencia Tropical, the latest compilation on Galletas Calientes Records.

Romperayo is a musical journey through Colombian tropical folklore of the second half of the 20th century, a mischievous and modern interpretation of the up-tempo rhythms of “Descarga” and the psychedelic sounds of ’70s cumbia.
Even if you've never heard of Romperayo, you maybe know some of the musicians playing in the band: 
Romperayo was formed by the “capitán” of the new generation of Colombian percussionists: drummer Pedro Ojeda, who also plays in Los Pirañas, Palanca, CieloMama, Frente Cumbiero, Ondatrópica and Mucho Indio.  Eblis Alvarez (from the world-renowned Meridian Brothers and Los Pirañas)tweaks samplers and electronics, Ricardo Gallo plays the synths, and Juan Manuel Toro is on the electric bass.

This mix right here is undoubtably one of the hottest mixes of the year. And we are only in April! You will most definitely have this on repeat.

Originally slated to be my live set at the Texas Eclipse Festival, which unfortunately had to cancel on the day I was scheduled to play due to a massive thunderstorm that rolled in. And while it was for the best and the safety of all in attendance, it was still a bummer I didn't get to share the stage with so many amazing artists. Still, it was an incredible time with lots of incredible people. The eclipse itself was pretty unbelievable and awe inspiring. I wish I would have been able to play this live for all of you eclipse chaser who were in attendance, but I suppose I got this hot a$$ mixtape out of it in the end, and now we can relive the magic again and again!

This is my offering to the Bass Gods, may They shine their favor upon this humble servant of the sound! In this mix, I wanted to take listeners on a journey through multiple genres. Bass - Trap - Drum N Bass - Breaks - and a little house for good measure. This mix is a full flex! I hope this gets you dancing and feeling as good as I felt making it! I had a lot of fun recording this one. AND this was also done in one take! Just like it would have been live.
