It all began when he used to sneak in his older cousins room in the 80's and listen to Rakim, Gangstarr, & BlackSheep cd's before he even knew what hiphop was. He wanted to do music. It all began when he got his first keyboard and taught himself how to play. Anger gave his talent dedication. Sadness gave his art emotion. Depression gave his music reason. Love allowed his art to be universal. Coop D'Ville has been producing, rapping, playing instruments, and writing and reading poetry since 1987. It didn't get serious until he got a technics organ / workstation. It was over from there. In 1993 he signed a contract with L.T.D. (Love, Togetherness, & Devotion) - former band for Jeffrey Osbourne ("Love Ballad" and "On the Wings of Love") - and this is where he learned many core business lesssons in the music industry. He has done shows with Chaka Kahn, Phil Perry, Musiq Soulchild, The Dells, Tank, Force MD's, Al Johnson (Euniphics), Kandi Johnson (XSCAPE), Tony Tone Tony, & Freddie Jackson just to name a few. In less than a year after signing with L.T.D., he found him self in a Bayshore NYC recording studio working with Wu-tang affiliated rap group the Gravediggaz (Poetic and Frukwan).

Unaware of his potential and lacking legal counsel, he turned down a recording contract with Sharpshooters productions and decided to further his education @ Bowie State University. Eventually, he stopped performing with L.T.D. when legal problems arose with the use of the name L.T.D. and decided to make Hiphop & R&B production his main focus. He met numerous individuals at Bowie State University that helped shape his art and musical influences. Eventually, the ills of life and deep thought clouded his mind with the death of his mother and no spiritual guidance. After many nights of enlightenment, loneliness, and strong desire, he found knowledge of self. Since the inception of his talent, he has subonciously attracted his entire family of friends to musical expression and he now stands with a very strong empire that supports him. He is multi-talented and plays the piano, guitar (electric, classical, bass, & electric acoustic), keyboards, and turn tables. Overall, he wants to share the thoughts, dreams, nightmares, and situations he has been through - the days where he got closer with death, and the nights where he had crazy beautiful moments with heaven. I'm currently living back in the DMV area workin a 9 to 5, playing PS4 when I get time, making beats on my laptop and Technics Organ Workstation, and playing keyboard and guitar for R&B bands, including a band named Diversified (http://www.reverbnation.com/diversifiedband). I am a singer/songwriter/artist, single mother of 2 lovely boys whom I adore. I also love to sing, dance and write music, I am a natural born artist with a very strong passion for what I love to do. I've been interested in music and singing ever since I was a child and singing in my church choir growing up then I've noticed that it was something I've developed a love for and I wanted to go further in it. Singing helps me to relieve stress in so many ways, and whenever I'm feeling down or emotional, I put it in my songs that I write so basically I'm an emotional singer lol.....I write in hopes that my music would help change the world and though I'm doing th is for myself, I'm also doing this for my son so that he could have a great life and to also help him achieve his dreams and goals in life. I grew up in the church and was very active in everything there was to become active in, like the choir, praise dance, stepping team, and other activities that were available. I was also in martial arts for about 16yrs, ran track, swimming, modeling and cheerleading for Bradbury Heights Boys&Girls Club. I've performed in different places and singing karaoke in local bars until I came across a few people who wanted me to come and sing at their events they were having to I joined up with a company called Afton Shows and I also joined up with a local Go-Go Band and I've also auditioned for American Idol as well as The Voice, but didn't make it pass the first round of judges, I was also on the Apollo a free months ago and I placed 3rd the first round and was invited back on June 19th for the Semifinals, though I did not win it, I didn't stop. I was recently on Fox 5 News with one of my bands Positive Vybes and it was a great turn out. I am a Muslim under the Nation of Islam and have been going on 9 yrs or more now and I absolutely love it and it has helped me change for the better in my life. Singing and becoming successful in what I love to do is the best feeling in the world if I could just get with the right people who won't take advantage of me. I've been through a whole lot growing up and have struggled trying to maintain but, everyday I push hard and work hard at my brand and my craft to become better at not only what I do but who I have developed to be. I am on the ride as an artist and I pray to Allah for a successful journey.
