The track was created in collaboration on 22 January 2022 (initial mix and recording in GarageBand and Logic Pro by Alex M) and 23 January 2022 (subsequent additions and final mix and recording in MAGIX by Roberto B), and posted here on SoundCloud on 23 January 2022 (by Alex M).

The artwork cover for the track uses an oil painting by Roberto B of 21 January 2022, and was cropped and annotated with text by Alex M (in Mac OS Preview) on 23 January 2022 - in coordination and agreement with Roberto B.

Live & Intimate records the live aspects of Elliana’s songs that you would experience listening to her perform in person; the unfiltered, unpolished, and “intimate” versions that fully capture the emotions behind the lyrics, conveying the meanings of her songs. Consisting of merely vocals and an acoustic guitar, the Live & Intimate collection shows the authentic Elliana through recordings from past performances; focusing on how her music sounded playing back on her voice recorder when they were played for the very first time.

Dear friends, the drought is very severe in northeastern Africa. The desert is spreading. If our planet becomes desert, it will resemble the moon! Tree planting can counteract desertification.

It is NOT raining in the South

The rain has ceased in Africa
at least in the north east parts
and the soil is dry
and everywhere it's bursting
and no plants will ever grow  in conditions like this
and the animals will die of starvation and thirst
and later people as well

The rain is unreliable in the present days
it falls whereever it wants
without any control
a lot may fall on places
where it may cause a lot of serious disasters
we have seen floodings and landslides in many places on earth
where many people have died

We must counteract the distribution of deserts
since they may kill us all
due to lack of air
with enough amounts of oxygen
we can start planting trees on the edges of the deserts
as there are drought-resistant trees that retain moisture in the soil
and thus we will survive

The sound production team RoGeR consists of Rob and Gerard, who have been exploring diverse sounds, synths, and samples for over 35 years. Their musical journey began in the 1980s with the band Just Us, where Gerard played synths and Renny (R.I.P.) played guitar, alongside an opera-trained singer. Rob served as the band's sound and technical engineer. Just Us's unique blend of operatic vocals and New Wave, influenced by bands like The Cure and Cocteau Twins, found success performing across the Netherlands.

After Just Us disbanded, Gerard, Rob, and Renny continued their musical pursuits. Rob and Renny formed Tranceformers, driven by their passion for danceable, hypnotic beats, but this ended tragically with Renny's untimely death in 2015.

Rob (aka Random Vision) and Gerard (aka Dev-G) then formed RoGeR, crafting their own genre-defying style. Each track starts from scratch, inspired by anything from current events to a simple sound. Their musical influences span across eras and genres, including Genesis, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, Underworld, Billie Eilish, Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, and the legendary Sinéad O'Connor, Philip Glass, Simeon ten Holt, Peter Gabriel and many more.
