Things don't always go how we expect them to, but that is one of life's greatest features (if not THE greatest).

The original vision for this, the first full-length Deva_Descended album, was an experimental/prog rock album with ten songs. Due to a rough case of tendonosis that I've been stuck with for nearly three years (resulting from stubborn but naive over-practice of guitar), as well as some of life's other challenges, this is not exactly that album.
Instead, here I offer a collection of some of the songs that I've made over the past couple of years, arranged in an order to loosely resemble the story that was meant to be told.

"Screens" and "The Final Lullaby" are the oldest tracks on the album (December 2021), and "Equalizer" is the most recent (November 2023). There are some other unreleased tracks that didn't quite fit the vibe of the album, and they may or may not be released separately or used for another project.

Moving forward, I would really like to make the kind of music I was originally inspired to create, but I'm going to need some help. I want to be a gear in a creative thinktank of a band. If it appears to you that you are a gear with which this one can groove, I implore you to contact me.

Beyond that, enjoy the album.
As always, I highly recommend giving it a go with your best headphones or sitting comfortably in front of a hi-fi stereo in an otherwise quiet, motionless space.

RIOT unleashes their new masterpiece "Overkill". An excellent use of an electric guitar lead and vocals which fuses in nicely with a heavy four on the floor Drumstep drop. Staying true to style, RIOT also includes a very cinematic intro and outro which makes you wonder if the song is a baby child of a 1980’s horror movie and Coheed and Cambria.
