David Keler & Eva Peel se rencontrent en 2020 à l’occasion d’une série de Covers qu’ils interprètent pour célébrer l’union de deux amis. Très vite, après avoir repris Jacno, Etienne Daho, Gainsbourg ou plus récemment Malik Djoudi, ils réalisent leur ADN commun, une certaine French Pop qui les conduit à enregistrer un EP de 4 titres dont Solarium est le titre phare. Il y a deux ans presque jour par jour, dans le silence assourdissant d'un confinement planétaire, disparaissait un artiste central dans l'histoire de la musique en France. Daniel Bevillacqua alias Christophe attirait tant par la force de ses tubes de la première époque dont les paroles étaient signées Jean-Michel Jarre, que pour ses aventures soniques guidées par son goût du son et des synthétiseurs. Le collectif parisien Deviant Disco co-fondé par Eva Peel vient de sortir "Christophe de jour comme de nuit", une compilation de reprises où l'on croise des gens qu'on connait très bien : Romain Turzi, 
Étienne Jaumet, Charles-Baptiste, Lisa Li Lund, The Man Inside Corinne ou Alex Rossi qui chacun livre sa vision du regretté dandy.

Dans ce studio transitoire, orienté vers des univers phoniques non-dansants, nous recevrons sur six dates invité.e.s et résident.e.s pour des sessions exploratoires à écouter assis.

La Méridienne entend mêler, quelques après-midi durant, lumière zénithale et poésie sonore. Les sélections de nos convives, ouvertes au public, seront retransmises en direct sur nos ondes depuis les toits puis disponibles à la réécoute. Amateurs et amatrices d’ambiances lancinantes et de rythmes voluptueux, la Méridienne s’ouvre au grand jour le 3 juillet.

Radio Sofa sets its Méridienne on the roof of the Point Ephémère for a summer radio residency. In this transitory studio, oriented towards non-dancing phonic universes, we will receive guests and residents for exploratory sessions to be listened to sitting down.

La Méridienne intends to mix zenithal light and sonic poetry for a few afternoons. The selections of our guests will be open to public and broadcast live on our airwaves from the rooftop. Lovers of haunting atmospheres and voluptuous rhythms, La Méridienne opens on the 3d of July.

Deviant Brazil 2017

Head of Slow Motion record label, DJ Producer Franz Scala also known as Franz Underwear is originally Italian but has settled in Berlin since 2007. A great activist, he’s a resident at Magic Waves events. He’s released various tracks on Cocktail d’Amore & Bordello a Parigi. He started his own record label Italian dance wave, combining CD & vynils. With help of Dj friend Bruce Heller this set for Deviant Disco was recorded after the New Dance Fantasy winter label showcase.

Netherlands based, record label owner but also a Dj &  event promoter Otto Kraanen is the founder of Bordello a Parigi- a label for dance music lovers which reflects his will to share his fondness for a certain kind of electronic music. With now a 100 references and a new record shop that just opened in Amsterdam, it was the right time to welcome De Dupe -his Dj moniker on our monthly radio show. He will also be our guest at the Garage-club in September 2017.

First of all a singer multi-instrumentist, touring and recording mostly bass throughout Europe (Calypsodelia), Australia (The Babe Rainbow) or Asia (Marie Madeleine). Myriam Stamoulis started mixing a selection of 60s Rare Soul, Freakbeat and Psych Pop while going to alternative parties in Paris and while traveling abroad. She keenly gained a passion for forgotten gems on vinyl since. Her current interest is around groovy tunes from Afro Caribbean, Space Funk, World Disco - Garage, Hi-NRG, Mutant - to Synthpop besides other linked genres. Myriam is now our last recruit at Deviant Disco, enjoy and share her "Spirit of Groove" DJ mix.

Our friends at Deviant Disco are back with a four tracker 12" of stunning french disco in a wide range of styles : from 80's afrobeat to underground canadian cosmic groove, here is another bullet from the parisian gang ! The four cuts are selected by David Chouferbad & Fred Serendip.
Here is the b1, a cool edit of Jean-Michel Gascuel "Dominus" originally released in 1984. This French composer who collaborated with Pierre Schaeffer was also a great lyricist working for the likes of Vivian Vee or Suzy Andrews, and a fashion designer. With its Latin touch, this track is a little UFO standing out of the rest of his French productions, so let us be blessed by Dominus Domine Dominarum.

En novembre dernier, Yoshi Hitchcock avait été invité pour fêter le premier anniversaire du Café Mancuso de Bordeaux. Il avait alors proposé une sélection musicale de près de 7 heures dans le plus pur esprit du Loft. Voici une sélection de 2 heures qu'il avait préparée il y a quelques semaines à peine. Malgré notre peine due à sa disparition, nous tenions à mettre en ligne ce mix.

Last November, Yoshi Hitchcock have been invited to celebrate the first anniversary of Bordeaux's Café Mancuso. He did an almost 7 hours musical selection in pure Loft's spirit. Here is a 2 hours selection he prepared only a few weeks ago. Despite our sorrow due to his missing, it was important for us to upload this mix.

The French rarities label sticks to its peculiar aesthetics and welcomes you once again to an enthralling musical trip — starting with Tchamy Patterson’s groovy & percussive afrobeat only to spiral into Barnes' and Ygalove's hypnotic The Mongol Raid slow-mo trance edit and steering from La Décadanse's tropical and sensual rework of vintage hit Amazoniaque all the way down to Éric Vincent's obscure 80s French erotica.

'The Mongol Raid' is the result of Deviant Disco's new beat connoisseur Ygal Ohayon (@trashdisco) aka Ygalove teaming up with mysterious producer Barnes (from Barnes & Wobble). Ygal bumped into a trancy, unmarked german white label from the 90s ; he pulled the age-old 'oops — wrong speed' 33 RPM trick and waited for Barnes to come along with his magic scissors. With the cheeky addition of an oriental synth going properly bananas, their collaboration gave rise to this entirely rebuilt, borderline industrial tune. A wholesome slow trance monster!Release

For the second edition of this Secret Tape collection, Eva Peel (Deviant Disco / La Notte) has recorded her mix for Valentine's day at Pigalle Paris Radio show at Hotel Pigalle in Paris. It is mainly a selection of 7 inches with the exception of a vinyl found for 1 euro in a second hand shop of french singer Christophe, as a matter of fact this could be considered rather as a Love tape.
