We flew past the limits of what they permit,
two bodies in flames, refusing to quit.
We weren’t just lovers—we fought to stay whole,
and drowned in the places we gave too much soul.

I held you through storms, your face in my hands.
You watched me collapse, still trying to stand.
We loved so hard we turned love into pain.
We lost ourselves with no way back again.
We saw things together no one will believe.
We shared all the beauty, the lies, the disease.

We had the whole sky, and still we would choke,
like drowning on air, like breathing in smoke.

How cruel that true love still fades into gray,
