Yes that’s right, this Saturday I’m brought you a showcase special on Cutters Choice Radio focusing purely on the one of my favourite artists from back in the day Dylan Rhymes aka Marvin Beaver.

There are so many good tracks that it was difficult to fit them all into 2 hours, but on this mix you can hear plenty of originals and plenty or remixes and collabs with the likes of Unkle, Christian J (Party People remember that one…wotachoon…!) Meat Katie, Deep Dish and plenty more.

Also as an extra special treat I ripped some of my old vinyl as Marvin was also responsible (in the main) for the booty breaks series on DDB records which to this day are still some of my favourite bootlegs so expect to hear some classics like Bolland Breaks (CJ Bolland), Left of Life (Leftfield) and Brighton Rock (Lionrock) plus plenty of others.

Another two hours of breakbeat bedlam, crate-digging chaos, and a few exclusives straight from the camo record box (ok, laptop this time). Kicked the night off with a cheeky mashup of Pheel – Snail Trail and Adam Freeland – Fear [Rez Edit], then rode the wave through classics, underground gems, and fresh fire from the Diesel / Dirty Kitchen Rave camps.

Highlights included my brand new track PWR, the epic Plump DJs x Krafty Kuts x Freestylers – Nighthawk, and Prato – The World as my tune of the month. Plus plenty of Mr No Hands mayhem sprinkled in — Go!, Don’t Think, Bad Bwoy Bass and the new collab Gas Slammer with Perpetual Present.

A peak-time one-hour set recorded live at the Burning Man Denver Decompression event (2025), performed as Elite Force aka Simon Shackleton.

This mix has a raw intensity to it – genre-crossing with driving basslines, twisted grooves, and cinematic edges – designed for full throttle lift-off. 

It was such a fun night to be a part of. I've been part of the extended Burning Man community for over 15 years now and it's always an honour to share what I do with so many beautiful, creative souls.

I'm a big fan of music generally, and also making connections with people through music. My collection has grown over the years and is still growing weekly! It contains a bit of everything, mostly influenced by breakbeat and drum and bass although more recently house and tech house. I was and still am a big fan of breaks, especially tracks from the likes of Freeland, Atomic Hooligan, Freq Nasty, Stanton Warriors, Plump DJs, Krafty Kuts etc but this list is definitely not exhaustive and I will listen to, and play anything within reason. Got to have an open mind! 

Things are a little quieter these days but I've spent many weekends lost in a field/club/house party somewhere!

Join me on Cutters Choice Radio for my Slam the Breaks on show to put a smile on your face! I play a good range of stuff and don’t focus on one particular style or genre.
