Yes that’s right, this Saturday I’m brought you a showcase special on Cutters Choice Radio focusing purely on the one of my favourite artists from back in the day Dylan Rhymes aka Marvin Beaver.

There are so many good tracks that it was difficult to fit them all into 2 hours, but on this mix you can hear plenty of originals and plenty or remixes and collabs with the likes of Unkle, Christian J (Party People remember that one…wotachoon…!) Meat Katie, Deep Dish and plenty more.

Also as an extra special treat I ripped some of my old vinyl as Marvin was also responsible (in the main) for the booty breaks series on DDB records which to this day are still some of my favourite bootlegs so expect to hear some classics like Bolland Breaks (CJ Bolland), Left of Life (Leftfield) and Brighton Rock (Lionrock) plus plenty of others.

Really enjoyed recreating this one and putting my own twist on it hope you enjoy the remind...! 21 years ago Adam Freeland dropped his Essential Mix on the Pete Tong show on Radio One, which to this day is still one of my favourite mixes and truly stands the test of time! 

Although not really around much these days, Adam Freeland is still one of my favourite artists and I consider the godfather of Nu Skool Breaks along with Rennie Pilgrem. Head honcho of the Marine Parade label, during the late 90s and early 2000's he was prolific and was superb to see live. His Coastal Breaks and Tectonics mixes along with the Essential Mix (2003 and 2008) and Fabric Live mix compilations are still some of the best Breaks mixes you will hear.

In whats now become an annual tradition I did a warm up show for the mighty Finger Lickin Records Boat Party in London on 10th May 2024.

What an AMAZING day and an unbelievable party on the RIver Thames with a bunch of absolute legends. The drinks were flowing the sun was out the tunes were absolutely banging on the boat and at the after party - just an amazing day all around with the FLR crew and the CCR Crew - Take me back....!

Hope you enjoy this mix i did for Cutters Choice Radio and join me to delve back into one of the greatest mix compilations (in my opinion) of all time the Classic Renaissance 3 CD collection put out by Sasha and Digweed in 1994!

Im sure many of you have got this CD or at least heard it, or played it hundreds of times, it was a landmark release that still sounds absolutely amazing.

This mix features different tracks from the 3 CD's but with my own arrangement / twist with a few modern versions thrown in. 

Expect to hear lots of House, Progressive House, Trance classics that capturte the sound of the Renaissance nights of the mid 1990's.

Hi all,

Really hope you enjoy this warm up show mix i did for the Finger Lickin Records Boat party down the River Thames in June 2025. This was an absolute pleasure to put together and play and a huge thanks to all the listeners who tuned in and came to the Boat Party which really was most excellent. I'm a big fan of music generally, and also making connections with people through music. My collection has grown over the years and is still growing weekly! It contains a bit of everything, mostly influenced by breakbeat and drum and bass although more recently house and tech house. I was and still am a big fan of breaks, especially tracks from the likes of Freeland, Atomic Hooligan, Freq Nasty, Stanton Warriors, Plump DJs, Krafty Kuts etc but this list is definitely not exhaustive and I will listen to, and play anything within reason. Got to have an open mind! 

Things are a little quieter these days but I've spent many weekends lost in a field/club/house party somewhere!

Join me on Cutters Choice Radio for my Slam the Breaks on show to put a smile on your face! I play a good range of stuff and don’t focus on one particular style or genre.
