Devil Witch

From fiery pits and ashes, from stone and snow, Anchorage based stoner/doom metal band Devil Witch finds its inspiration from the occult, ancient things, arcana, magik and madness. They pay tribute to the metal lords of the past and present while mixing in elements of blues. Devil Witch hail's from the era of records played in reverse and burned to hear the screams of demons.

The cold dark winters of Alaska are a perfect setting for writing and recording music, the Zombie Unicorn is the musical moniker of guitarist Adam Hulin. Zombie Unicorn Music" is a blend of electronic instruments and movie sound bytes combined with a single "live" guitar. Most is inspired from my favorite Horror & Sci-Fi films. The live show incorporates both costume elements and a "Film Montage" of the movies that have inspired my songs and parts. 
John Carpenter top's my list, as his movies and music is a huge influence upon mine, along with all the many other common "shredder" influences like living legend Joe Satriani. 
Playing lead guitar in the original band Machinecoprse, allowed me the opportunity to be direct support for the bands Suicide Silence and Emmure ripping it up onstage with 4 other amazing musicians. I had no idea at that time, that the electronic elements were using along with the ability to successfully incorporate them into our live show would be such a big part of what inspired me to take my music onstage as a "solo"artist! 
The very idea of "Zombie Unicorn Music" came about as I was chatting with coworkers about my collaboration's with James Church of Lucidstatic. Infected like a zombie virus, that sound has now became the "core" of my act. Performing them as a man they called mad, with tracks of my own like "ZU-2" and "Revenants" brought back to life onstage.
