Originally from the town of Souris, Manitoba, award-winning composer Jeff Tymoschuk moved to Vancouver in 1992 to pursue a career in music production. Since 1999, he has scored over 90 films, including the science fiction thriller "Altitude", the feature documentary "Mr Big", and the WWE Studios action film "The Marine 4: Moving Target". In 2013 he scored the feature "Leprechaun: Origins", the reboot of the classic horror film franchise directed by long-time collaborator Zach Lipovsky. He has also written the music for the Murder She Baked series starring Alison Sweeney and the Aurora Teagarden series, starring Candace Cameron Bure.

In 2002, he scored his first videogame, "James Bond: Nightfire" for Electronic Arts, which went on to win the 2003 Game Audio Network Guild (GANG) Award for Best Arrangement of a Non-Original Theme and Best Interactive Music. In 2003 he provided additional music for "The Simpsons Hit and Run" from Radical Entertainment/Vivendi Universal Games, and wrote additional music to "James Bond: Everything or Nothing", supplementing 24 composer Sean Callery’s score. Shortly after, he scored, "Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice", and followed that up by working with Hothead Games on the "Penny Arcade Adventures" and "DeathSpank" franchises.

“Sleeping Dogs”, an action, undercover cop game developed by United Front Games in collaboration with Square Enix London Studios recently garnered 6 nominations at the 2013 Canadian Video Game Awards, including “Best Original Music”.  The game was re-released in late 2014 as "Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition" for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Started in 2011 by brothers Javier and Victor Badillo, Caracas plays Latin-influenced punk rock that has been compared with the Talking Heads, Santana, Gogol Bordello and Pixies, among many others.

Their lyrics share the immigrant experience and the Venezuelan struggle, delivered in big party anthems and intimate "sonadas" (Latin waltzes) on a Cuatro guitar (a Venezuelan ukelele), all adding up to a thoroughly entertaining live performance. 

Caracas new EP "Bring on the Playtime" (Spring 2016) was produced by South African-Canadian producer Dylan Ellis (Hokum, Rami Lakkis), and was recorded in Vancouver's iconic Fader Mountain / The Farm studios and at DeVille Studios, tucked in a small East Vancouver neighborhood. The songs take the band's most popular tunes from the past five years and turns them on their head, showcasing the evolution of Caracas from a two-piece garage band to a five-piece Latin rock party machine!

Their single "Bring on the Playtime" is the theme song for the new microbrewery doc webseries "Vancouver On Tap" (2016). A number of their songs are featured in the independent movies "The Cover-Up" (2013) and "Naked Night Bike" (2014). 

Caracas performed on Vancouver's Shaw TV Channel 4 for "Canadian Sound Arts Therapy Show", a community-driven show. The episode originally aired in the spring of 2015.

In June 2015, Caracas was invited to perform on the World Beat Stage of the 27th Annual Rio Tinto Alcan Dragon Boat Festival, the largest of its kind in North America!

Caracas is an active member of SOCAN, ASCAP and BMI, managed by Vancouver-based Dead Straight Music Publishing.
