The only symbol or Emoji I used before becoming active on social media was the heart and happy face.  I have since expanded my knowledge at least 500%! However, I would rather write or say what I'm feeling, and I don't like the guessing game when texting with others.  BUT, I do have a favorite Emoji, Sparkles!  I love the overarching meaning of celebration, excitement, joy, happiness, love of life, and gratitude.  I also love pairing sparkles with the heart (my second favorite Emoji) to mean a deeper feeling of admiration and love.  When I started to create this piece, the tones and melody sparkled with shimmering magic.  The style of Impressionism is just that! I hope you love the sparkle too!

Sparkles

Back in the nineties I was very fortunate to start a friendship with Paul and Caren. I witnessed both of them at the top of their game first hand as a producer, engineer and a member of Comanche Moon. 
It was intense, hilarious and incredibly creative for all of us. Andy Greenberg on bass, Larry Dent on drums. YES! 
We gave it our all on “Electric Lizardland”. I still consider it one of the finest records I’ve ever been involved with. It was beautiful. Caren and Paul and I had that “thing” when we sang together. 
Paul was such a gifted lyricist and writer. That album was a chance for him to finally record his own version of some of his already famous tunes. Being in the room with that kind of talent is just amazing.
Later on I got to know his Dad and recorded a few of his songs with him along the way. 
And, we also laughed our asses off. What a cool man!
I loved and admired Paul. My heart goes out to you Caren and Tennessee. 

This is a project that we did a few years after that. Me and Paul wrote these songs. I did the music and Paul wrote the amazing lyrics. It was a crazy Bluegrass Cowboy mashup he named “The Dead Sea Squirrels”. I don’t think more than a handful of people ever heard any of those songs.
I thought I would share some of them here. The harmonies are a great example of that “thing” that Paul, Caren and I had. 
Life is too fucking short…
