For the past decade, The Vindys have captivated audiences with their signature blend of rock, soul, and pop. Hailing from Youngstown, Ohio, the band has built a devoted following through electrifying live performances and heartfelt songwriting.

At the heart of The Vindys is powerhouse vocalist and songwriter Jackie Popovec, who has earned high praise from none other than Pat Benatar, who raved, “She’s amazing. That girl can sing her ass off.” She is backed by an exceptional lineup, with John Anthony on lead guitar, Rick Deak on rhythm guitar, Owen Davis on drums, Brendan Burke on bass, and Nathan Anthony on keys. Together, this dynamic ensemble crafts a sound that Music Connection Magazine hails as “rock and roll at its finest.”
The Vindys have been making waves nationally, lighting up major festival stages and opening for legends like Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, ZZ Top, Marcus King, Beth Hart, and Ann Wilson.

Their anthemic track “Are You Ready” was featured in television commercials for ESPN, while their music video for “Bugs” earned an exclusive selection at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival.
Critics have taken notice—The Washington Post’s Marc Thiessen raved, “Jackie Popovec is a revelation… By the end, they were delivering a raucous standing ovation. See. This. Michael Bond started playing piano when he was 4 years old. By the time he was 6, he was playing in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. After competing classically for 7 years, he began studying jazz.  He was mentored by artists Stanley Cowell, Jim Ridl, Orrin Evans, and Mike LeDonne. Michael was a special recipient of  both the Excellence in Jazz Performance Award and the Arthur G. Humphrey award for Music Education while attending Rutgers University.    He graduated with a Bachelor's of Music Degree in both Jazz Performance and Music Education.

Since then, the young pianist has continued to develop a growing audience in both the NYC music scene and around the world.   Mike has had the privilege of sharing the stage with many notable artists including: the Captain Black Big Band, Conrad Herwig, Joe Ford, Josh Evans, Curtis Lundy, Duane Eubanks, Bruce Williams, Joe Magnarelli, Mark Gross and many others.  He has performed at the Central Jersey Jazz Festival, the Canadian Music Festival in Toronto, and the NYC Winter Jazz Festival.  He is a featured sideman on guitarist Jean Chaumont’s debut album “The Beauty Of Differences” which  received a 4 star review in Downbeat Magazine.  

Mike has also conducted and music directed shows for a variety of theater companies including the Mighty Oak Players, Livingston Avenue Theater Company, McCarter Theater's Summer Program, ReThink Theatrical and Pinnworth Productions.  He won a state wide NJACT Perry Award in Outstanding Musical Direction in 2017. 

Mike Bond most recently music directed at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center alongside Tony award winning choreographer and director Savion Glover for their 2019 summer intensive.
