If you haven’t worked out by now, I am a bit obsessive over Rupert Parkes’ AKA Photek’s early works in the first half of the 90s.
Some of his most elusive and hardcore drum and bass productions were not under the Photek moniker but recorded under a series of different names.

In this mix we feature probably his rarest and darkest works, under the guises of System X and The Truper.

Summer Of '94 Jungle Selection (Part 5)

Once again, here I am reminiscing of summers gone by. Quite fond of this particular selection: some beautifully melodic rollers from Van Kleef, Dillinja & Jeep Head; deep & dark jungle cuts from DJ Hype & Shimon; a few obscurities that I either didn't put a name to, or simply passed me by; and of course a few summertime amen slammers just so you know I'm not fucking around. Hello Lover, Tear Into It, Radical Sound's What Is Love & those two Dextrous KOTJ joints, always guaranteed to put a smile on my chops.

This version I originally sourced online back in the early 2000's. Ive added the orange sleeve but do not know if this is correct.  This recording doesn't have the Intro & Starts with a much cleaner copy of Essence Of Aura – So This Is Love. 
This one has the original version of 'Sounds Of Life – Currents'.

I would like to find out if anyone has this version on an original tape so we can rule out if this was a 'Fan mix' or if there was indeed 2 versions of the mix from Bukem
