Not at all musical, or even nice. Just random noodling to experiment with the Jupiter-4's ability to produce FM synthesis as its LFO is actually an "HFO" and modulates the Jupiter's oscillators as if they were carriers.

Unlike Yamaha's FM synthesis, doing FM synthesis this way is extremely unstable and practically impossible to tune. This is why Yamaha actually uses "phase modulation" so that everything stays in tune but achieves the exact same results as frequency modulation. Some people will argue that it's not 'true FM synthesis' but they're frankly just wrong and you can tell just by listening to Yamaha FM synthesizers that yes, it's FM synthesis :)

Digital Blade

A quick Italo-Disco jam on the Oberheim System. SH-101 bass and OB-8 brass and string lead are played by the DSX, synced to the DMX. Its snare is run through an Alesis Quadraverb and I play the Simmons SDSV on top of it.
