L. Mel was born in  Ga., and raised in various locations of South Florida, Broward County. Since age of 12, L. Mel realized that he has a gift and was able to write music and sing.
 
Inspired from artists such as Tank, R. Kelly, and Ginuwine, L. Mel began to sing and dance for his family. About the age of 16, L. Mel had start producing his own music. He proved to be very creative.
 
 
At age 18, L. Mel had come to a point in his life where his family struggles wouldn’t allow him the opportunity to continue to peruse music so he was forced with a very important decision; he had to put his music career on hold to focus on finding a remedy to solve the issues in his life.
 
At age 25, L. Mel began to re-think his life. His everyday life was surrounded by music, and music was the only thing that kept him going. He decided to revive his music career. No able to financially support it, he continues to move forward, by writing and producing.
 
L. Mel is currently an upcoming R&B and Rap artist. He continues to perform in his home town and display his talent. He has some new projects underway.
