Recently started to create a playlist with (my opinion) - as a matter of speaking - `masterpieces` and with this I hope to infect more people with this list so we could all hop to the pounding beats of house music. I will add more different house catagories. At least those wich I prefer. We're opening August with a new Exclusive Mix podcast episode and this time it's the turn for the Brasilian techno mixmeister, Lucas Freire...

Known for his unique mixing technique and for his singular vibrating and energetic performances; Lucas Freire started his DJ career in 2000. His great technical ability, superbness in the mixes, and his vigorous way of expressing himself through music in the DJ booth made him one of the leaders in and of the Brazilian Techno scene.

He was a resident DJ at the legendary Club A Loca and Lov.e Club, as well as leading projects such as Club Play, Kraft Club and Techardia party, which placed his city, Campinas, on the map of the electronic scene.

In 2004. he made his first tour in Europe and became known internationally. 
Since 2007. he lives in Barcelona, Spain, where he continues to evolve his career. In 2015., Lucas Freire gave birth to Devotion Records and since then he manages this awe-inspiring techno label with his partner Fernanda Martins.

Known for his unique mixing technique - which according to many witnesses is close to perfection and for his singular vibrating and energetic performances; Lucas Freire does not leave anyone indifferent when he takes command of the DJ booth. His connection with the crowd is exceptional something that he developed over the years playing in some of the best clubs and festivals of the world.

Lucas Freire started his DJ career in 2000. His great technical ability, superbness in the mixes, and his vigorous way of expressing himself through music in the DJ booth made him one of the leaders in and of the Brazilian Techno scene.

His rich knowledge of the industry and his intense commitment in innumerous projects helped to expand the electronic music culture in Brazil which eventually brought him even more respect worldwide beyond simply being a prominent DJ. He was a resident DJ at the legendary Club A Loca and Lov.e Club, as well as leading projects such as Club Play, Kraft Club and Techardia party, which placed his city, Campinas, on the map of the electronic scene.

In 2004 he made his first tour in Europe and became known internationally. As expected, the European public acceptance was outstanding and Lucas spent the following 2 years traveling the old continent to perform at some of the most import clubs and festivals.

Since 2007 he lives in Barcelona, Spain, where he continued to evolve in his career, managing his record labels and developing his impeccable work in the studio.

Lukas (Lucas Freire) nació en diciembre de 1979 en João Pessoa en el estado de Paraiba, pero vivió en Campinas, en el estado de São Paulo desde 1986. Tuvo su primer contacto con la música electrónica en 1997.

Su carrera profesional como DJ comenzó en el año 2000, y no tardó mucho en demostrar su talento con los platos y su peculiar preocupación por la técnica y la perfección. Mostrando buenas habilidades y mucho trabajo duro, Lukas pronto comenzó a ser un DJ muy respetado en la escena techno brasileña.

Siempre preocupado por el crecimiento de la escena techno en Brasil, Lukas también ha organizado algunos eventos relacionados con la música electrónica en Campinas y en las afueras de la ciudad. Fue una de las personas que organizó el primer "after hour" en Campinas en 2000 y también integró el proyecto PLAY, un evento que hizo una transición en las noches de la ciudad.
También es miembro y uno de los fundadores del equipo FUZU-E, fundado en febrero de 2000, el cual se encarga de hacer las fiestas de e-music más importantes de la ciudad como TECHCARDIA, entre muchas otras.

Sus habilidades pronto fueron notadas por el público y otros artistas, siendo en el año 2001 nominado como mejor DJ revelación por el mejor sitio de música electrónica de Brasil, RRAURL (www.rraurl.com).

Al año siguiente fue invitado a ser residente de A Loca, uno de los clubes subterráneos más famosos de São Paulo, donde permaneció durante un año. En el mismo año fue nominado nuevamente a mejor DJ revelación, esta vez al premio “Noite Ilustrada”, promovido por Folha de São Paulo, el mayor periódico brasileño.

El año 2003 fue definitivamente uno de los mejores años de su carrera, pues volvió a ser nominado al premio ‘’Noite Ilustrada’’, esta vez a mejor DJ techno.
También dio un gran paso al abrir su ''Club Kraft'' en Campinas, su ciudad natal, inaugurado en septiembre de 2003. Lukas fue residente allí y también en Lov.e Club&Loung en Sao Paulo, uno de los clubes más respetados de Brasil.

En diciembre de 2004, Lukas realizó su primera gira internacional. La invitación fue hecha por el gran DJ Rush, quien, impresionado con la música pesada y densa de Lukas y su técnica impresionante, rápidamente puso a su agencia (Knee deep) a trabajar para organizar su gira.

En 2005, Lukas fue nuevamente invitado a mostrar su trabajo sobre el Atlántico. Esta vez, la invitación la hizo Marco Remus, quien también lo invitó a unirse a su agencia (Stereo 70). En este mismo año, Lukas comenzó a editar sus primeros discos, apareciendo su trabajo en sellos como 340m/s, Distorted, Emetic, Killaz, Nerven, Nitrosound recs y Tremors. Además de su trabajo en solitario, Lukas ha producido con artistas como Chering, Fernanda Martins, Mahatma, Martyn Hare, Murphy, Nitrosound, O.B.I. y Torsten Kanzler.

Lukas toca/produce techno, dando más énfasis al hard techno, su variante favorita. Ha tocado en ciudades de todo Brasil y también en países como Austria, Bélgica, Francia, Alemania, Holanda, Luxemburgo, España, Eslovenia, Eslovaquia e Inglaterra.
