I’m from the East Coast, and I’ve been playing bass guitar since the late 70’s. I been producing music with a start-up label, BTF Records in Hampton Roads, VA in the early 80’s.  I’m currently retired and have more time to delve into the field that I enjoy the most, aside from playing football. 90% of the music that I currently put on SoundCloud are rough drafts; as for the originals, most of them are my own work. I’m a big Cameo, Funkadelic and Marcus Miller fan. I enjoy performing live, however, the studio is what I enjoy the most. Devon Mathews is a professional actor, vocalist, director, and film producer from San Antonio, Texas. She is the owner and lead vocalist of DevSoul, her band of 17 years. DevSoul has opened and played for Chico DeBarge, Jagged Edge, and more. Notably, Devon was cast in “The King” Christmas musical starring David and Tamela Mann of Tyler Perry Productions, The Color Purple Audio Experience (International Cast), and Allen and Gray’s audio re-imagining of the Princess in the Frog (Mama Odie). Devon also curated the inaugural DreamStage Sunday show at the historic Pearl, which featured some of the most stellar musicians in the Alamo city.
