Fresh off the back of their remix for Ellie Goulding’s “Beating Heart”, North London trio Dexcell bring their signature rolling Drum ‘n Bass sound to the track. Racing hi-hats combine with a bouncing synth line to create a perfect platform for the original vocal to shine. This, coupled with the laid back yet deep, brooding bass line makes this a dynamic addition to the package. Sure to be a firm favourite for all D’n’B heads out there.

Tough Love have rapidly risen through the ranks of the house scene. Their distinct, recognisable productions together with energetic and bass-heavy DJ sets have created a cult following of hardcore fans across the UK and beyond. Their remix effort here is no exception, a subtle stripped-back yet satisfying combination of 90s piano stabs, creative drum patterns and bouncing garage chords that would be equally at home in headphones or on the dance floor.

New boy on the block Steerner rounds up this perfect package. Although young in years, his production is as sharp and experienced as the big boys, growing him a huge global fanbase, including superstar Tiesto, who always plays Steerner’s music in his live sets. With Wake Up Call, we wanted to combine the more emotive garage sound championed by artists such as salute, together with liquid drum & bass which we’re better known for. The instrumental came together quite quickly – we wanted to use quite classic, euphoric dance sounds to convey the desired nostalgic feeling. It was a pleasure to work with Eloise Keeble on this track virtually. Her rich, deeper vocal tone matched the vibe of the track from the very first demo she sent over. 

We hope the track invokes a sense of nostalgia in the listener, as that is the feeling that was with us throughout the writing process. Towards the end of summer, we really missed the ‘normal’ summers and generally ‘normal’ life, and that came out in the writing of the instrumental. Whilst Eloise’s lyrics represent a different kind of longing and reminiscing, they still capture the vibe of what we were going for with this track.
