Minneapolis-based 3 piece hip-hop band NO BIRD SING is set to drop their "DEFINITION SICKNESS" LP on November 12, 2013 via STRANGE FAMOUS RECORDS.

No Bird Sing combines the talents of emcee Joe Horton, drummer/producer Graham O'Brien, and guitarist/producer Robert Mulrennan. With "Definition Sickness", the trio has maintained the integrity of their live-band roots while exploring a more produced sound that ranges from stark minimalism to lush expansiveness. The first video from the album, "And War", examines the central decision faced by citizens of an empire in decline: cling to dying ideas and anesthetics or resolve to experience a disquieting reality with more depth and clarity?

Set in a near-future America, the video follows one man through a derelict city as he encounters LED-clad jackers, underground auctions, and users of a mysterious, opiate-like drug. It's clear that the man is searching for something, but neither he nor the viewer has more than a faint sense of what that might be. "And War" presents viewers with a vision of America only slightly removed from their own, asking them to view their own declining empires, both personal and political, with new eyes.

Critical Music have passed us an exclusive look at Enei's forthcoming <em>Goliath</em> EP on the label ahead of the label's return to Room One on Friday 9th May with this exclusive clip of the title track that also features the instantly recognisable tones of Manchester don, DRS. A beguiling blend of junglist drum work, booming basslines and futuristic vocal affectation its a pertinent sign of things to come from the label and from the Russian producer in question who'll be appearing with the crew in Room One a week on Friday.

"The third installment of Rotation UK's 'Definitions Of The Deep' has arrived. With first two LP's featuring some of biggest names in Drum & Bass, the third has a hard act to follow. 
It's safe to say it has succeeded to be a fantastic arrangement of some of the best intelligent Drum & Bass available today. 
Our first dive into the deep introduces lush cinematic pads and melodies with a crisp set of percussion to keep the head nodding. Beautifully mysterious vocals sway in and around the mix. 
SoundNbeats, Keosz and Seathasky's talents made their music the sure pick to kick of the current. 
Continuing onwards we come across lovely progressive vocal choirs, summery chords and euphoric vocal cuts by Stunna, Intersolar, Marso and Gala. 
Beloved amen breaks and reverb laden sax cuts come into play next with SoulTec, Static and Spero's addition to DOTD III with their track 1939. 
Classic Nuage influenced beats and dark bass lines keep the ball rolling fast and true. Picked guitar leads, Sweet guitar leads and rustic drum patterns remind us of the liquid roots of Part 3. 
Sensual sax and jazzy riffs eek the listener onwards, fast un-relenting drum breaks keep us on our toes while arpeggiated melodies scurry through the mix. Ethnic drums and strange synths create the basis for energetic vocal cuts to pave the wave. 
Definitions Of The Deep has returned for Part III and has succeeded in continuing the renowned franchise and by living up to high expectations. 
Rotation UK is becoming the go-to-place for Drum & Bass, competing with the biggest in the business. DOTD III has proved this fact"

Fred V & Grafix, the dynamic duo from Devon, present their debut solo single on Hospital. “Goggles” is a four-track EP featuring the full spectrum of their sound. The “Goggles” EP is fresh, fun and jam-packed with exciting, dancefloor-driven beats that should excite and unite D&B fans for 2013.

With its unassuming bleep intro, “Goggles” will no doubt take some by surprise with its subterranean sounds as bubbling bass and intricate arpeggios develop into the kind of aquatic frenzy you won't have witnessed since doing 50 metres butterfly at school. But wait, “Games People Play” ups the ante with a more recognisable Fred V & Grafix aesthetic - full of polished vocal glow, warm atmospherics, punchy drums and live guitar from Fred Vahrman himself.

Returning to a stripped back, contemplative tone and we have “Denmark Road” with its shimmying soundscape, shuffling breaks and murmuring Calibre-esque sweeps. Beware the epic “Basilisk” awaiting at the end of the EP. This monster has a hypnotizing intro, then bites deep, with a drop dominated by dense, contorting synth work. Awesome.
